When first pulled from the vat, the yarn appears yellowish, but rapidly oxidizes and turns vibrant blue upon contact with the air. The dye bath uses natural fermented indigo leaves mixed with Iye, water, and other organic materials. IG: @rongtianye Hirose-machi, Japan

A squad of Caribbean Reef Squid (Sepioteuthis sepioidea) swimming. There are all mostly pointing away into the background (and slightly left) with their arms held together. They are mostly an off white colour, with a lot of them having a brown stripe that goes length wise. There appears to be a group of other animals swimming in the background. You can see the sea floor and the surface of the water and everything is tinged blue from the water.
