Can you commit blasphemy by eating? Call of Cthulhu (2018) has stayed with me mostly because of one motif - minor spoiler alert - the island's inhabitants consuming parts of a being retrieved from the ocean's depths. This becomes a ritual, and leads to a profound inner transformation.
