Remember, when you think your faith will fail: 1. You are God’s delight. 2. You are Christ’s heir. 3. You are the Spirit’s home. 4. You are Scripture’s recipient. 5. You are heaven’s citizen.

The gospel awakens the soul. The gospel saves from sin. The gospel leads to the Father. The gospel renews the mind. The gospel empowers our service. The gospel loves the wayward. The gospel delights in Christ. The gospel points the way home. You never outgrow the gospel!

As base a thing as money often is, yet it can be transmuted into everlasting treasure. It can be converted into food for the hungry and clothing for the poor. It can keep a missionary actively winning lost men to the light of the gospel and thus transmute itself into heavenly values.

“You ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.’ Otherwise, you boast in arrogance.” James 4:15–16 Pervasive (live or die), meticulous (“this or that”) Providence is a call to humility.

Jesus was fully man. He experienced the full emotional range of humanity: • Joy (Lk 10:21; Jn 17:13) • Sorrow (Mt 26:37) • Love (Jn 11:5) • Compassion (Mt 9:36) • Weeping (Jn 11:35) • Astonishment (Lk 7:9) • Anger (Mk 3:5; 10:14) • Loneliness (Mk 14:32-42; 15:34)

I am a Christian because: God gifted me faith to believe, Christ called me to Himself, The Spirit resurrected my dead heart. I am not a Christian because: I have done enough good works, I exercised my free will, I brought myself to life. @freedspirit.bsky.social

A woman once said to Charles Spurgeon, “I cannot understand why God should say that He hated Esau.” Spurgeon replied, “That is not my difficulty, madam. My trouble is to understand how God could love Jacob.”

000

Bishop Backwell Tumwesigye @bishopbackwellug.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

“You will be hated” (Mt 10:22). “Present sufferings” (Rom 8:18). “Momentary troubles” (2 Cor 4:17). “Suffer for Him” (Phil 1:29). “After you have suffered” (1 Pt 5:10). Bypass any of these and you bypass God's sanctifying process of shaping you into the image of Christ.

3 things Jesus never said: 1. You will be healthy. 2. You will be wealthy. 3. You will be successful. 3 things Jesus said: 1. You will be hated. 2. You will have trouble. 3. You will suffer.

Some people leave wealth behind. Others leave buildings. But those who give toward the work of Christ leave a testimony in generations of lives touched.

If God has placed it on your heart to help us build, please know that your gift—large or small—will become part of this story.

John Wesley famously taught, ‘Do all the good you can.’” Sometimes doing good means giving what we can so that others may have a place to hear the message of Christ.

Bishop Backwell Tumwesigye @bishopbackwellug.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

We don't know every person God will use to help build this church. We simply pray for the people whose hearts He has already touched.

One day, children will worship where today we are struggling to lay the foundation. May our sacrifice become their inheritance.

Perhaps your gift will buy cement. Perhaps bricks. Perhaps a window or a seat. But ultimately, you are helping create a place where a soul can hear: ‘Jesus loves you.’”

Build with us—not merely with money, but with faith. One brick, one prayer, one sacrifice, one believer at a time. Together, let us build for Christ.
