I've been looking forward to this so much, and it's come along just as I deleted my Amazon account!

Looking at art on Pinterest was my happy place when I needed to destress. But it's become so filled with AI — worse, *boring* AI, because that's how AI works i guess, using the mean of what it's been given to generate 'new' works — that I've pretty much given up.

I'm actually safer in my country than in most of the world, but I should really get a new passport with the 'N' gender while I can

More tv costume pants need usable pockets so actors can stand naturally.

I think I might only be attracted to people by their personalities and... idk, is that even legal?

I was just reading that statistically the number one cause of friction in marriage is whether the guy does his share of the housework/childcare. Something I intend my sons to internalise before they leave home!

It's not just no-fault divorce. It's affordable housing that opens up possibilities.

Ugh, that was garbled. I mean that the audience would go with a witch constructing a spell, they wouldn't need it explained.

Magic super powers always feel so lazy and dull, especially since (I think) most people have an instinctive grasp of how to make magic. Like children playing or teens trying to wish something to happen, using correspondence/invocation/sacrifice/transgression/etc. So I don't get why writers avoid it.

I'd love to see more witchcraft that's obviously constructing a spell with ordinary things, like with mirrors and red thread and bones (and preferably in some disquieting way) rather than telekinesis and throwing lightning about and magical super powers. I quite enjoyed the song.

Gender Census @gendercensus.bsky.social · 05/06/2024

The day before parliament was dissolved, the UK government used an obscure emergency process to make possession of puberty blockers for new treatment of trans kids illegal, and punishable by up to 2 years in prison. The Good Law Project is challenging it in court: goodlawproject.org/crowdfunder/...

I was leaning more towards aspec because of her annoyance and dislike of the vulgarity of the rest of the Sabbath. And her general disinterest in being... well, of respectable society, I suppose.

I posted that while entirely forgetting her fascination with Emily at the Sabbath! And then men try and join in and she loses all interest, yes? (I have a cat on me and can’t check, which seems appropriate).

I don't know what Laura Willowes is. But I do know that Laura Willowes is not straight. (I know the Devil in Lolly Willowes needed to be a man to make SAW's final point. But. What if the Devil in Lolly Willowes had not been a man?)

It's been a great season. Your interview with Dana Michel was especially meaningful for me. What a wonderful person. Thanks so much for all the work you put into the podcast. It really helps hearing other people recount experiences that rhyme with my own.

@amyrichards.bsky.social I just listened to your interview with Nigel Rising, and her experience of her manager behaving completely differently in the presence of the boss really brought back a lot of similar incidents in my life and enabled me to understand them better. It was so useful!
