Finished knitting a vest yesterday, it's the Clova Slipover by @ysoldaknits.bsky.social A really well put together clear pattern. Used a sirdar Aran yarn my mum gave me. Loved that I didn't have to knit sleeves. #knitting 🧶

Drove out to Coney Island (Sligo) today when the tide was out and had a walk around this peaceful place. So many butterflies out and plenty blackberries to keep us going on our walk.

Visited the old ones today at Carrowmore, Sligo. Such an interesting landscape with so many traces of the past. The new visitor centre is very good.

Eclipse was absolutely awesome! Some friends joined us in the park. Eclipse glasses worked well but we also used a pinhole cereal box, a brown bag and even a tree to project the sun. The near total part was beautiful.

Compared to injuries by cars it’s a lot less. Again if people follow the rules and go on the road or segregated bike lanes then collisions with pedestrians should be a lot less. Issue in Ireland is no enforcement of anything on the roads at the moment.

Went to Sligo and found a bunch of wild orchids the first day. Delighted to see them, many in no mow areas so that's working. They're so pretty. I'm still learning the different types.
