Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 03/05/2025I went down a nostalgic rabbit hole with the Gameboy and Kirby on day 3 of learning @feather3d.bsky.social . I definitely have thoughts on the app and most of them are positive. It's as if Quill and Procreate had an architect baby on an iPad. #IndependentArtist #CreativeFreedom #artistmade 010

Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 17/03/2025In homage to all the good he brought to this neighborhood, I created a collage of some of his pieces for people to visit. I captured everything in the @Scaniverse app and combined a few of the statues into one giant piece that an audience could visit in @Arrivalspace at live.arrival.space/bingkolive.arrival.spaceArrival.Space - claim. edit. share.Your 3D space on the web. 000
Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 17/03/2025All the statues are the work of one gardener who worked for SF Parks and Rec from 1986 to 2009 by the name of Demitrio O. Braceros. He's very much the kind of artist whose footsteps I want to follow in my own way. You can read a delightful interview with him at www.conversations.org/story.php?si...conversations.orgConversations.org: Demetrio Braceros and the New Trail of Hope , by Richard WhittakerA collection of in-depth interviews with artists from all walks of life. Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 17/03/2025As a native San Franciscan, I'm always in search of hidden gems that I can showcase so transplants and out of towners alike know just how special the city still is. Today, Cayuga Park gets the spotlight both IRL and in XR! 100
Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 11/03/2025I've never really played Monster Hunter before, but letting my mind wander on a call with a friend today led me down this Palico path. Get you a kitty who will resist the patriarchy alongside you is all I'm trying to say out in these streets. #monsterhunter #palico #companion 110
Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 10/03/2025Combine this with a multiplayer space where other people are drawing trees, and a whole new avenue opens up in regards to whether or not you're connecting a network of trees or beautifying each other's in collaboration. 000
Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 10/03/2025This is not my prettiest tree by far, but that's really not the point. The point is to get lost in the flow of the moment and just letting those branches take you where they take you. And before you can say 'wax on, wax off', you're already learning the basics of spatial art. 110
Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 10/03/2025 I adapted this from a 2D drawing exercise by the very wise Wendy MacNaughton that encourages you to just sit down and draw branches as a mindful, reflective, loving act: club.drawtogether.studio/p/growth-pat...club.drawtogether.studioGrowth PatternsWhat nature's growth patterns teaches us about how to grow ourselves 100
Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 10/03/2025In designing upcoming workshops around VR art, I approach it from how I would have wanted to be guided as a beginner. As someone who encourages the art of play in every aspect of the creative pipeline, I think painting a tree in VR in whatever app of your choosing is a great way to start. 100
Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 04/03/2025Last but not least Michelangelo aka Mikey who has always been my favorite. I'm not nearly as carefree as he is but I aspire to be! He reminds me to be present, much like he is in this moment with a stray kitty in an alley. All we have are these small, precious moments after all. 😻 #ProcreateArtist 120
Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 04/03/2025Today happens to be my birthday and I'm feeling contemplative and grateful, just like Leonardo is here wistfully taking a moment. I'm very touched by the kind messages pouring in and it's a grand reminder of how blessed I am to have my circle of friends. Thank you 🙏 Painted with #ProcreateArtist 120
Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 02/03/2025Today, Donatello gets his day in the sun. The ever inquisitive geek, I'm closest in personality to him at least as an artist. I realized that of all the birbs he could encounter, a hummingbird would be most fitting. A nimble mind matched by a curious pollinator. Painted w/love @procreate.com 010

Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 20/02/2025It's been ages since I've painted live in public, so I was all nerves at the beginning especially with friends watching. 🫣 But being in VR, there's this second layer to the world that helps create a little cognitive distance to escape into the flow of the work. #figminxr #livepainting #cyberpunk 010

Kevin Ang @bingkoland.bsky.social · 19/02/2025Over the past year, I've made over 7 BunBuns, enough for a possible designer toy family! Each of them are very special to me because they reflect my life whether it's mental health, an homage, or civic pride. As someone who would love to make these into real toys I'm open to any guidance 🙏 100
