Vote Robert Bilotta for District 2 City Council. Election Day is this Tuesday, November 4th. Polls are open from 7am - 8pm. Let's make Worcester safe & affordable for everyone! #WorcPoli #MAPoli
“Vote Robert Bilotta for District 2 this Tuesday, November 4th, polls open 7am - 8pm. ‘Worcester is growing but people are being left behind. Violent crime is rising and pedestrians are losing their lives. Worcester should be a place where seniors can afford to downsize, young families can buy their first home, and residents feel safe in their neighborhoods and on the roads. Working together, we can make this a reality. My life has been overcoming adversity and helping people. In college, I lost my ability to walk. Ever since, I’ve been a disability and housing advocate. I started Friends of Lake Park, served on the Worcester Access Advisory Commission, and currently chair the Worcester Together Affordable Housing Coalition.
You deserve a Worcester that is affordable to you, has quality city services, and is safe to live in. This won’t happen unless your City Councilor is accessible, listens, and is accountable to only you, not special interest. I humbly ask for your vote. -Rob.' For a safe and affordable Worcester."

Greedy out of town developers are making record profits while displacing local families. I’ll fight to expand the first time homebuyer program, increase rental support, & ensure seniors can retire with dignity. Vote Robert Bilotta for Worcester City Council District 2 on or before Tuesday, Nov 4th.
Blue campaign graphic with white and blue text, “‘My life has been about overcoming adversity and helping people. In college, I lost my ability to walk. It changed my life forever. I became a disability and housing advocate, pushing for accessibility, safety, and more housing that’s reasonably priced. Today I chair the Worcester Together Affordable Housing Coalition. Greedy out of town developers are making record profits while displacing local families. Worcester can not become another Boston. I’ll fight to expand the first time homebuyer program, increase rental support, and ensure seniors can retire with dignity. You need your District City Councilor to have the perspective of people with disabilities, homeowners, renters, seniors, and veterans. I won’t be the City Councilor that will take developer money all while rents and property taxes continue to skyrocket.’ Vote Robert Bilotta City Council District 2. Vote on or before November 4th. In May 2022, 4 D2 residents died in a 4 alarm multi-family fire at 2 Gage Street. The building was owned by a slumlord & lacked sprinklers. We can prevent these tragedies, protect residents & first responders, & preserve housing stock by adopting & enforcing common sense safety measures.
Headline of a Telegram and Gazette article by Jeff A. Chamer reads "2 more bodies pulled from Worcester apartment building, bring fire death total to 4. Jeff A. Chamer. Telegram & Gazette. May 16, 2022. Updated May 17, 2022, 3:45 p.p. ET. The ordinance was supported by the City Manager, the Worcester Fire Chief & the State Fire Marshall. Automatic fire sprinklers save lives & minimize injuries to residents & firefighters by controlling fires quickly. My opponent, current District 2 Councilor Candy Mero Carlson, voted to reject it.

Text over the image reads "Worcester firefighters battle apartment blaze at Washington Heights. Washington Heights did not have automatic sprinklers." There is also text quoted from a 2024 Worcester Telegram & Gazette article by Craig Semon, "'Dyer gave special praise to chief Thomas Harding, the incident commander, at the scene. Thirty more seconds and the two people trapped inside the burning build might not have survived, Dyer said.'"

Last week, the Worcester City Council voted 6-4 to reject a common sense fire safety ordinance already adopted by 193 cities & towns in MA. MGL Chapter 148, Section 26 I is an opt-in state law that says: if you own an old 4+ unit building & are gutting it, you have to put sprinklers in. #WorcPoli
