Putting your principles first.

In September 1964, the Beatles refused to play the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida, when they learned the crowd would be segregated.
The city backed down.
The show went ahead - integrated.
Bringing that up this week for no reason in particular...
Music has always
been bigger than just music.

We learned today that we’re in our final stretch of days with Alice, 15. She’s in kidney failure. It’s not even the diabetes, it’s age. Our aim is to make her as comfortable as we can through the weekend and then see where she’s at next week. No heroic measures, of which there are none. Gutted. 💔😢

My husband and I at the vet with our elderly tuxedo cat, who is dying of kidney failure, sitting between us.

Alright… this one came through tonight. And I’ll tell you something — this band always sounded like they showed up to party from a slightly better planet. The first time I heard this… it was cranked way up, and half the crowd danced, the rest just laughed. Let’s let it loose for a few minutes.
