The CEO’s assassin yesterday used a silencer. Murders with silencers have been rare. But the proliferation of silencers here in Fantasyland—that is, the U.S.—is staggering, quintupling since 2016 to 5 million. The gun industry’s silencer sales are approaching $1 billion a year.
