it’s hard to talk politics anymore because the natural response to everything is “oh they should be killed” but you’re not allowed to say it. it’s more illegal than open pedophilia

Coming back into August means we're getting into #orchid season. This photo from last year is of a critically endangered Diuris fragrantissima (Sunshine Diuris) at one of the sites where these plants have been reintroduced by conservation groups in areas that they were locally extinct #photography

a photograph of a small Diuris orchid growing amongst some grass. The orchid has 4 white flowers with pink/pruple blotches on the labellum and dorsal sepals, and pale green stems. There are a couple of buds of flowers yet to open

Went for a bike ride with my camera on sunday afternoon cause it looked like it was going to be a nice sunset. Wasn't disappointed, the golden hour colours in Williamstown were beautiful. Shot on Nikon D850 with a Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 lens #photography #sunset #birds

A photograph of a pelican sitting sitting on a rock facing out to sea. The rock is also occupied by 3 cormorants sitting and cleaning themselves. The ocean is calm and flat, smoothly blending into the hazy sea air at the horizon. The colours in the image have a pinkish hue from the sunset

fsr i've always been kind of obsessed with photos of the surface of the ocean, something about the swirling foam patterns and colours really gets me. This photo from a few years ago i took on a ferry in Tāmaki Makaurau (Aukland) harbor has always been one of my fav photos #photography #ocean

Photograph of the surface of the ocean, taken from a boat. The boats wake swirls and foams through the seafoam green water

A photo of a yellow billed spoonbill flying overhead, shot from underneath with a clear blue sky as the backdrop

A small brown and grey, female superb fairy wren looking directly at the camera, standing on a sunlit patch of brown sandy earth

A white faced heron stands knee-deep in the still water of a creek under a bridge. Dappled light reflected off the water lights up its plumage and face

TONIGHT THE WORLD IS A VAMPIRE This evening on scren.ch, I'm playing Vampire as we raise money for Palestinians still trapped in Gaza. We're starting at 6pm UK and running until midnight. The aim is to help these families afford the rapidly-inflating cost of food for the next few months.

a pic from last month of the critically endangered Diuris fragrantissima, on Bunurong/Wurundjeri land. Only found in a handful of sites in the inner western suburbs, there was less than 20 plants remaining in the wild before conservation work done in the last couple of years #orchid #conservation

A macro photo of a small white and purple blotched orchid flower. It has long green lateral sepals extending below the flower. the background is an out of focus greenish blur of the grassland the photo was taken in, and there is 2 other flowers visible coming off the stem of the plant.
