We rescued our dog Baby Bear from an abusive home 13 years ago. She survived being hit by a car, she kept us sane through Covid, but she is slowing down these days. I am beginning to fear the end as well. We are so lucky to have them while we do.

When writing media reviews we were discouraged from actually taking time to read/watch/play anything since the company would have to cover hours and it would increase time per article.

TBH most news outlets that exist are garbage to writers. If it isn’t one of the top sources writers are pressured (or required to) plagiarize and repost articles written by other people. The last one I worked for had a daily minimum and told me I was overthinking things when I fact checked sources.

We’ve spent decades separating the concept of womanhood from expectations surrounding reproduction only to have a handful of loud, irritating women insist that the uterus is the only linked experience of womanhood. It’s exhausting. “I don’t understand why there’s such pushback 😭” ugh fuck offfffffff

Pierre Bourdieu once argued that the question of whether something is art isn't answered by the artist's intention or even the object itself. Instead, the quality of being "art" is conferred by a community — curators, dealers, auction houses, audiences, etc. 🧵

Someone on Threads writes: "The Met Gala feels like real dystopian shit.

People can’t afford groceries or gas. But we’re going to celebrate this event which is nothing more than wealth porn."
