Ouch. Ambulance cost in Australia are run by states. Some are free others can be pricey up to $5k Can get insurance $60 pa. USians seem to pay much more for health costs and get worse outcomes.

Well here in Australia we pay a levy (tax) to cover our Medicare (for all) system. That is usually 2% of taxable income. There are some exemptions. So earn zero = healthcare $0 Earn $200k = healthcare $5k Mostly works well.

Having been witness to the roll out of mental health and disability services over the decades I am not brimming with confidence or enthusiasm.

Thriving Kids will commence rollout of state services from 1 October 2026 and is expected to be at scale from 1 January 2028.
This will ensure national services are in place ahead of changes to NDIS access arrangements from 1 January 2028.
Governments will continue to engage with the community on implementation arrangements in the months ahead. Details about specific services and how to access them will be made available closer to services commencing.

This is the royal "we" used by monarchy and other high positions. He is using plural pronoun to refer to himself as King (themselves). This is most often used in formal occassions. Elizabeth II she did refer to herself as We. Representing the person speaking and expansive weight of their office.

Well I can’t read NYT as I unsubscribed more than a year ago. I did read elsewhere that just in Tomahawk missiles close to 10 years manufacturing quantity was expended on the first month or so against Iran. So restocking will take until 2035.
