Several of us geology nerds went for a ride east of Cedar Breaks National Monument to look at a megabreccia landslide. On the way up UT14 we stopped at a scenic overlook with a view over all of canyon. This was a geology trip; I took a picture of the readout. Checking the geological map later I realized this maybe the boundary; or it may just be bedding in the Claron.

We went up to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon to see how much was burned this summer. Encouraging, not all trees burned. Many trees survived; including most aspen. #photography #grandcanyon #grca #northrim #forestfire #quakie This is a scan of a TMax negative. The film education is starting.
