Great news for Montana rail: the Havre Terminal Passenger and Freight Efficiency Project has been selected for up to $40.8M in federal funding.

In 2012, the Port of Northern Montana helped launch the Great Northern Corridor Coalition with Montana DOT, BNSF Railway, and other partners, taking a corridor-wide approach to strengthening rail infrastructure from Seattle to Chicago.

On August 3rd, the City of Helena proclaimed "Passenger Rail Day," honoring a history that runs deep. The first locomotive arrived in Helena on June 13, 1883.
