This is really good; went places I really wasn't expecting when you were talking about it beforehand. Also I remember you shared the Deadpool comparison a bit ago which made the followup image hit harder since I was expecting the jab to be over lol. One typo I think is worth pointing out though:

NEW ARTICLE! Cavia is gone, but "In the Copied Cathedral", my exploration of the Drakengard/NieR series, continues on. Drakengard 3 is a game of monstrosity and monotony, the end result of discovering an audience that enjoys drinking your poison, and wondering how much you can charge for each drop.

Somebody's OC I drew for their birthday a bit ago

Smiling girl with long red hair and eyes and freckles, flying on wings of flame with her arms outstretched. She is wearing a red top and skirt with bronze armour on her midriff, along with red boots, long fingerless gloves and a yellow headband. The shoulders of her top and the forearm portions of her gloves are frayed to create a flame-like shape, and the outfit is adorned with various yellow hearts and brown wings on her headband, chest, waist and boots.

Been slowly working on this since I heard the news. Probably not on the top of most people's lists of iconic Tim Curry roles but I've always loved his performance as the cat king.

The cat king from the movie The Cat Returns, running toward the viewer with a sword, along a long platform extending from a tower.

More Fakémon designs after like half a year.

Pokédex entry for a fake Pokémon called Snophlake (pronounced 'snowflake') which resembles a snowflake with a yellow eye in its centre, with two complex structures on its sides and the other four truncated as opposed to a snowflake's typical six-point symmetry. Alongside the creature itself are its name, its category of "Winter Pokémon," its Ice typing, height and weight, and the following text: "Snophlake is formed over centuries out of glacier-dwelling microbes, and glides free when the ice calves. The sight of this Pokémon is said to mark the first day of winter."

Pokédex entry for Seraphlake (pronounced ' Seraph lake'), the evolution of the previous Pokémon, which resembles a snowflake with a yellow eye in its centre, and twelve more distributed symmetrically across its structure. Alongside the creature itself are its name, its category of Six-Fold Pokémon, its Ice typing, height and weight, and the following text: "During a blizzard, Snophlake will combine and transform into Seraphlake. A bitter cold lingers in the Pokémon even after the snow passes."

Scan of a pattern created using floating ink and soap.

The same pattern as the previous image, digitally coloured blue and green.

Reupload with the colours slightly changed.

Excerpt from the first book of The Lord of The Rings: “Radagast the Brown!” laughed Saruman, and he no longer concealed his scorn. “Radagast the Bird-tamer!” Radagast the Simple! Radagast the Fool! Yet he had just the wit to play the part that I set him. For you have come, and that was all the purpose of my message. And here you will stay, Gandalf the Grey, and rest from journeys. For I am Saruman the Wise, Saruman Ring-maker, Saruman of Many Colours!” ' I looked then and saw that his robes, which had seemed white, were not so, but were woven of all colours, and if he moved they shimmered and changed so that the eye was bewildered. ' “I liked white better,” I said. ' “White!” he sneered. “It serves as a beginning. White cloth may be dyed. The white page can be overwritten; and the white light can be broken.” ' “In which case it is no longer white,” said I. “And he that breaks a thing to find out what it is has left the path of wisdom.” ' “You need not speak to me as to one of the fools that you take for friends,” said he. “I have not brought you hither to be instructed by you, but to give you a choice.” ' He drew himself up then and began to declaim, as if he were making a speech long rehearsed. “The Elder Days are gone. The Middle Days are passing. The Younger Days are beginning. The time of the Elves is over, but our time is at hand. That's right, Gandalf, it's Pride Month!”

Drawing of Saruman, in his many-coloured robes, pointing toward the viewer and saying, "That's right, Gandalf. It's Pride Month."

browt / pombon / gecqua

4 panels, the first is just the waves of the ocean and some big ol’ clouds. the next three are focused on each of the new pokemon starters. Browt a little chicken looking guy is sitting on a log in a forest on the edge of a beach. Pombon a fluffy fire dog is standing proudly on some rocks while waves crash against them and lastly gecqua, a water gecko snoozes on a rock in a swampy pond area.

Fakémon line I designed a bit ago; wanted to have a go at formatting a Pokédex entry also. Mainly inspired by HGSS but there's a bit of BW/BW2 there also.

Pokédex entry for a fake pokémon called Frostern, a white bird that resembles a snowman, with a carrot for a beak, stone eyes and buttons and sticks for legs. Alongside the creature itself are its name, its title of "frost bird Pokémon," its typing of Ice/Flying, its height, weight and footprint, and the following text: "Frostern hatches during the winter, with a rough feather coat that catches the falling snow. It mimics the appearance of a snowman to dupe potential predators."

Pokédex entry for Terncoat, the evolution of the previous Pokémon, which aside from being larger with longer wings, has a top hat covering its eyes and a red scarf, with its beak having also turned red. Its text reads: "Terncoat flies covered in a layer of insulating snow. At the sight of prey, it shakes the snow loose for a sudden burst of speed."

Updated my 2023 Deis art because there were a few things wrong with it.

Drawing of Deis/Bleu from the Breath of Fire series, a woman with blue hair, purple eyes and a green snake tail. She has a purple top with red inner lining on the hood, and a lot of gold jewellery with rubies and emeralds on her person. Her tail is holding a staff shaped like a snake's head. There is a desert shown behind her head, drawn within a circular border.

Magical girls with thematically appropriate moustaches, plus bird:

Dragon-themed girl in a short yellow robe over blue leggings and yellow high heels. She has short blue hair and a long wavy moustache, and a pair of antlers. The front of her robe has a pair of dragons on it, one above and one below her belt. She has a light frown and is standing with her arms spread out, seemingly summoning a cloud.

Catfish-themed girl in a short white kimono with catfish designs all over it, held with a striped pink sash with a large bow at the back, and wearing a pair of wooden sandals. She has black hair in a high ponytail, long eyebrows, a spiked moustache, and prominent cheekbones. She is smirking, and has one hand up in a sort of cat's paw gesture. Behind her is a stone with the kanji "要石 (kaname-ishi)," referring to Japanese mythology about earthquakes.

Walrus-themed girl in a short brown cloak over a skirt and boots. She has brown eyes, short brown hair with blonde tips and a thick blonde moustache and eyebrows. Her cloak is fastened by what resemble the tusks of a walrus, and she has two swords with bone-coloured blades. Around the hem of her cloak is a pattern of walruses along with shapes inspired by Mezen wood painting. Behind her are drawn three huge somewhat abstracted oysters.

Grey bird with a golden moustache, crest, and tail, and a long red beak and legs, with a prevalent motif of spirals. It is drawn in two forms: once in a fully animal form and second in a more humanoid one. The humanoid form has a blue coat with gold trim and epaulettes, and a long straight sword with a cup hilt and a red scabbard. Both forms look rather annoyed. Behind them is a set of floating feathers of pale blue, red and gold.

I'm really enjoying this series; I'm sure I'd get more out of it if I had more experience with the franchise but the writing is enough to carry it. Did notice a couple of typos though. (Though I'm not sure if the third is a typo or just a form I'm unfamiliar with)
