People still think of nature as massively larger than what humans can impact... It's an implicit assumption underlying our cultures because our cultures predate the current situation. Everyone, voters and policy makers first, needs to understand that we are the biggest part of nature now.

These errors happen just because of the nature of modeling. That so much of the data available is based in the inherently flawed IPCC data (due to the exclusion of feedback from consideration) the adds further to the problem. It was always going to be worse and faster than the predictions.

People are so fast to attack red state voters, but look how often we catch the GOP taking steps to suppress the vote, or to avoid letting democrats vote in the first place. Some red states are probably legitimately red, but a lot probably don't have free and fair elections.
