Nice that @therestpolitics.bsky.social plugged #ParkRun but they missed the significance of @pauls-h.bsky.social deciding to create something free & not for profit, run locally by volunteers. That's the magic sauce. Entrepreneurs can be socially-driven. Should have him on Leading

Doesn't look like enforcement, ticketing or removal of illegal and dangerous parking in Richmond Park this afternoon. Needs a proper, safe solution (although people not jumping in cars the minute the sun comes out would help)

Sawe is an incredible athlete but as a running nerd, I'd like to see some reporting of his performances before he broke through age 26. Only explanation I've seen of this relatively late emergence was changing to a more high profile training group. Early 20s partying phase?

A Labour leader in opposition would be shredded by media for behaving the way Badenoch, Farage & Polanski have on Iran and got no credit from anyone for standing with Government of the day on issues of national security and defence.

Another dystopian Sunday in the London hellscape. Volunteered at junior Parkrun and athletics club, muddy 10km along the river path. Caught Wayne McGregor exhibition on dance & tech at Somerset House, and bumped into fans star-spotting BAFTA red carpet, then watched the show at home.

The RSA ran a competition that led to the invention of a chimney sweeping tool in 1805, the sweepers guild and industry fought it and it took 70 years until sending children up chimneys was properly banned and enforced. Change can be bloody slow

I was able to explain to my 11 year old in 30 seconds why the Ukrainian athlete can't slide with a helmet with a political statement on it. It's pretty straightforward, a child can understand it, but I haven't heard the very simple reason explained in any media (or social media)

Starmer plan. Be angry. Turn it to action: sack anyone who advised his appointment; Police investigate any UK citizen in the files and take swift action on crimes; mandate no public contracts with companies or individuals names in files; commit to cleaning up power; protect women and girls today
