GJ are so successful people don't realize they are there to stop abuse. Prosecutors simply don't try to abuse their power so GJ routinely indict. Not that Pirro is trying to abuse the system then we see GJ work as intended.

Prosecutors run GJ, no one else is involved not even a judge. So the only misconduct can come from the DoJ.

In fact, since the Hearns case is in DC, the court already has grounds to be skeptical of the DC prosecutor. Pirro has pretty much burned to ashes any presumption of regularity for the DoJ. Here given the defense will definitely ask he judge to look a the GJ transcript.

It would be TX law. SCOTUS takes an expansive view of practice of religion to the point where a provision in health insurance that an employer subsidizes for employees is the practice of religion. It would be very hard to craft a law to target Muslim religious practice which escapes SCOTUS opinion.

If a GJ indicts there is definitely some sort of misconduct. Jan 6 was all right out there in public. The charge is obstruction not lying to congress. They have to show intent and that Hutchinson kept congress from moving forward with the investigation. That runs counter to the 'star witness' claim.

I don't see how this gets past a grand jury. Obstruction requires actual obstruction. If the House is not say they didn't get the information they were seeking how can the DoJ convince a GJ that the House wasn't able to get what they wanted out of Hutchinson?

The education mandate creates an educated public not public schools. Parents have a spectrum of options to meet the education mandate with public schools being one equal to private or home schooling. There is no 'fallback' situation here.

The state funds a system of private schools for you to use or not. You have an obligation to pay $ to support the system. You have the responsibility to educate your child not the state. If you don't want to use the public school, that is on you, the state owes you nothing WRT educating your child.

I don't know what you are digging at here. Public school funds cannot go to anything outside of the public education law. Government can't do something indirectly that it can't do directly. If you are poking at religious education the state can't fund that.

No, the question is whether or not the school district has control over the delivery of education as required by state law. If a school district engages a private school for education services it has to meet all of the legal requirement levied on a public school. You are barking up the wrong tree.

No. People pay school taxes to have an educated public. The state mandates children get educated and provides a system of free schools as an option for parents to meet that mandate. You pay for the benefit of having an educated public.

States mandate that parents much educate their children. States provide a system of free schools to help parents meet that mandate if they cannot afford private school. People pay school taxes to have an educated public and give you the choice of a free education.

Private school fulfill the mission of the school. It may be profit or it may not. Public schools serve the interest of the public. Public $ shouldn't go to private education that supports a mission that isn't the public mission.

State constitutions typically mandate 'a system of free schools'. System being the operative word here. There is nothing magical about public school engaging private institutions to provide education services. That happens with special needs where outsourcing is cost effective for schools.

States need to fill public offices and address ballot questions. Trump interfering in elections over House and Senate seats cripples state governance. If Trump does take ballots or machines states will attempt to run elections. That could result in a civil conflict.

The religious liberty argument is that people whose religious beliefs involve same-sex-sex as a sin, think it interferes with their religious practice to have to engage with people who don't believe the same as they do.

Software development has a field has deteriorated since well before AI started writing code. In 2000, I attended a panel about professionalism in software. The panel of experts didn't understand what was meant by professionalism and ended up arguing about government regulation of microsoft.

No. At this point, the observation that software development is a human process is as close to a law in computer science as possible. We have enough evidence with software technology to see a pattern of the technology never being able to rise above human frailties.

Employers replace American workers with foreign workers, either by hiring them in the USA or by moving production to other countries. The government really isn't involve in this. Sports league are private organizations that make up their own rules for competition, government should not be involved.

When the session ends neither party controls either camber. All members of the House get elected for each session. It is the House Clerk that swears in new members. The Clerk works for the House not either party. There is no 'persuasive' argument that the GoP can exert control over the Clerk.

Trump doesn't control the government. The oath of the people in the government is to the government not the President. Trump may control the people in the government but not the government itself. Each person would have to make a personal decision to violate their oath and core beliefs for Trump.
