Tenno con was so fun, but man, i really need to remember to enjoy things smaller. Sometimes i feel like the thrill of speculation is dead/forgotten. Like. Most of the negative to reacent plot is answerable by let them cook. Or by "listen to what isnt being said" esk moments. Im having fun atleast.

Working on a thing while watching my bestie play and ngl, this is the most put together barnabas has ever been. It makes me wonder if he never got seperated from his folks if he would have been a propper noble. This Rogue trader me is proving very fun !

Rogue trader oc being drawn while watching a stream of rogue trader.

Left is default barnabas
Right is barnabas but with abelards style.

Not much, but i am very enthusastic that this face shape was a full send first attempt. It turns out my brain **has** absorbed the new information we have studied. It wasnt just me. :D Now if i could stop lvling up when i should be sleeping. >.>

A face that is drawn next to a fame character part as a study part as a "how can i make it simalar vibes but to my actual wanted specifications"

"fiction normalizes—" idk abt any of that but I think social media has normalized absolutely batshit behavior and social conventions that are inconceivable to anyone that is actually well-balanced and thriving in the real world and that's a bigger problem than fiction will ever be

So, after minor rage quiting diablo 3 back near season 1, briefly returning in s4, but ultimately quiting until now: wow its wild that im finally finishing this game. It was so so grindy back then. I just hammered out act 1-4 in the past like maybe combined 8 hours today/yesterday.

YA as a genre is obviously great, and YA writers who don’t pull their punches are really important, but the overall movement to sanitize and contain what young adults can read is such an ugly thread of the “kids aren’t people, they’re the property of their parents” movement

Tonight I go to bed with serious spine pain. Drawing while busty is apparently an occupation hazzard. Atleast how I was sitting. Had legs infront of me knees up to attempt to press my self back in my chair to forceably unshrimp my self. Instead kept my spine in a curved shape.

What ive been working on lately, 1 is a dogmatic voidborn commissar , the other is a xenoheretic of a space pirate. Rework/designing the 2nd to add in how hes changed as I have played blocks and dolls.

Void born commissar left, monotone + red color pallete. He has a mutalited half of a face with cybernetics and a mechanical eye. He wears armor + a stylized military half jacket. The aquilla on his lapel is battle worn.

Pirate xenoheretic oc, originally started as a noble pretty boy who was rebelling is more of a dusty greasy xenoheretical man whos seen death 3 times and laughed as he denied it. He has 5 earings (4 left, 1 right) given to him by the blonde twink with many piercings.

If I am less of a chicken i will expunge more on their lore later.

we can control so little in this life. how we spend our time is one feeble bit of autonomy we have left, and how much is never gauranteed. it is never too late to use it wisely, kindly, more strangely and with curiosity.

today's lesson in passion economy. the less time you spend concerned with what other people are making and doing in order to vilify it, the more time you have to make something for yourself.

something clicked when I read that post about art being hindered by desirability — how we hold ourselves back from angles, expressions, actions that would make our subjects look unflattering. the fear of "ugly" is a hard barrier to overcome, but you free not only your art but yourself when you do.

Democratic leadership needs to stop caring what the GOP is going to think and start thinking about what Democratic voters think. GOP folks who yelled and ditched civility during Democratic State of the Union addresses got celebrated as folk heroes by their side, because they were VISIBLY FIGHTING.
