This particular route only has three stops: the two termini and one in the middle. To me, this is proof that highway express routes aren't necessarily expensive giveaways to the distant suburbs. They can be remarkably cost-efficient. People are drawn to fast transit that competes with driving.

You can judge any city by the quality and vitality of its places for public life. Here in Torino Italy it’s the many piazzas, the pedestrian streets, & the public market. Many cities had to claim these places back from cars. Don’t have those kinds of places in your city? Are you sure you’re a city?

I checked out the first part of the Spirit Trail East extension from Seymour River to Windridge Park last weekend. The trail mostly uses existing side streets: starting on Heritage Park Lane and continuing on Windridge Drive. #NorthVancouver #BikeLanes #MUP #BikeYVR
