Here's an update about the mystery plant that started growing a few weeks ago. It seems to be a sorghum as Laura noted and now has a flower? It will be interesting if birds and squirrels eat it.

Here is the purple (pink) Rose of Sharon that is growing with the white one which is a few years old. That never happened before.

Good morning, everyone. If you look closely there is a butterfly on the bush but it was so busy flitting from flower to flower that this is the best pic I could get. The other plant sprung up unexpectedly a few weeks ago. We think it's corn?!
