Also, when you shower, you are locked in for the duration of the shower, which is less than 5 minutes.

Both prisons I’ve been in have them - this is the max security wing. Medium security has the gang showers you might be imagining. In some ways, being a high risk inmate is easier. ;)

(1/13) [Note: Photos in this thread were taken after the event] Grey Goes To Prison: Intake / Thursday Afternoon 4 of us were picked up by as many guards on Thursday morning. Leg irons, connected to a belly chain, hands cuffed in front and then attached via a black box (OW).
