![id: a comic featuring sokka and zuko from avatar the last airbender. The first panel is an establishing shot of the fire nation palace at sunset, with a word bubble "So you're really leaving, huh?" Sokks looks sadly, wearing a backpack with a sleeping bag attached. His hair blows in the wind, and he's illuminated by the dwindling orange light. "In another life, I would have stayed," he said. Underneath the speech bubble are crossed out cursive letters reading: "ask me to stay." Zuko holds his arm, looking down, unable to face him. He's wearing Sokka's necklace. "In another life, I would have gone." The crossed out letters underneath read: "ask me to go." /End ID.]](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:3kni47atobfvcwrjcg4gonoy/bafkreib4tqy5ctch3israylsob3dckqdljotwvnmxuplwyrevppj2m54gy)
![[Sokka turns to leave, holding his backpack, and looking sadly back. "Take care of yourself," he says. The crossed out words under his speech bubble say: "I love you." Zuko looks sadly on, and hesitates to speak, then: "You too, buddy." The crossed out words underneath read: "I love you, too." A panel of both their feet, facing each other. An identical panel, tinged with darkness, except this time, Zuko's feet stand alone. /End ID.]](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:3kni47atobfvcwrjcg4gonoy/bafkreibbre3rxrnfmwmvef5nr3pskkikstz5djx4lnqbedwcds54qmujmm)
