This video will be the death of me. But I will finish it in 2025. Surely.

Watch the thing. Had to carry our tired, but excited kid up and down the hill, but it was worth it.

Ha! My mission badge finally arrived! That's what? Two additional months to get it from the UK to Germany? Brexit, such a good idea.

Photo of a letter from Matt Parker to me, Bernhard Werner. Effectively unreadable. Laying on top of it is an official looking access pass reading:
"Moon Pi Launch Pass. Mathstronaut Bernhard Werner. Access All Approximations of Pi."
Next to it an even more official looking space mission badge, embroidered. It depicts: A blue moon, half open. Inside, a yellow icosahedron wireframe. Inside that, a beige moon. Above and below the text "Sum Moon π". Around everything, 22 stars. (IIRC, Matt forgot one star in the final approval round, but it is funny since 22/7 is an approximation of pi and there are now 22 stars and 7 letter.)

Last week, the German Education Conference awarded me the "Best Reviewer" award. I think I would have preferred if they had accepted our paper instead, but I'll gladly take it 😄

Framed award. It reads:
IEEE German Education Conference GECon 2026.
Best Reviewer Award for exceptional thoroughness and constructive criticism.
Bernhard Werner.
Ilmenau, Germany, 20 to 22 July 2026.

Looking forward to @steckl.es's and @bensparks.bsky.social's new book! Already at least an 8/10 for being fully coloured!

Photo of the book "Why Don't Rabbits Rule The World". Cover shows an anthropomorphic rabbit in a suit holding a carrot. Behind, a blackboard whet math scribbles and the title of the book.
