I feel like the HAWK's are a bit deceptive when you approach from the side street. Usually, if you saw a ped countdown, cross traffic would be seeing a solid red. But for some of our HAWK's, cross traffic can have a flashing red while you see the ped countdown.

The Orange county DA announcement for the buyback featured an e-bike crash from October 2024. If you look at Tablert Avenue in 2024, there were 5 bicycle crashes on the same street, all within 3000 feet of roadway, including a nearby fatality. State crash data shows those as non-electric bikes.
