Cool new podcast, @milarkigames.bsky.social! I'm desperately waiting for more narrative stuff, happening in #meridia 🩷 #AgeOfSigmar #NarrativePlay #Milarki

In review: Witney Warhammer

Me and Nuno Martin, of NEON fame, went to the narrative event Witney Warhammer in the english country side. Two days later, on the sunday night, we take a moment to talk about our thoughts on the event and narrative gaming in general.

First Gitmob models are ready. Only question remaining is how I should color the base rims... Any ideas? #Warhammer #AgeOfSigmar #GloospiteGits #Gitmob

How cool! I deliberately bought this one episode of white dwarf to play such races. They remind me of this guy here and its hilarious

I came to add some info on Bjarl and the Deathgorge (thanks again for the lore, @fragmonkey.bsky.social), but everything was already there. So I ended up creating a short article on Wolfgit Retinues because I felt too bad leaving without adding anything 😄 ageofsigmar.lexicanum.com/wiki/Wolfgit...

Thanks! Looks like the double turn in round 3 came a little too late for the poor Stormcasts...

Where's your Milarki Score Card? We need those numbers!! 😍

Oh, wow! Back then, those were the models I knew from White Dwarf, and of which I could only dream about how it would feel to own them.

Yes, same. We already know quite a bit about Gallet and Thondia, thanks to the Generals Handbook seasons, but since my Gloomspites will stand on ice bases, I thought Bjarl was a perfect fit. Some even say the Everwinter comes from there... 🥶

Does anyone own a copy of the WHU Deathgorge Rulebook and could send me a scan of the background section? I plan to set my Gloomspite project in Bjarl, and I’ve heard that this rulebook contains a lot of lore on that region. Thank you 😇 #WarhammerUnderworlds #AgeOfSigmar

Exciting! Do you plan to play with them, or just to collect and paint them?

I'm so unhappy with the ships. The sails are boring. The hull is messy. The blue looks like contrast paint on a white background, which is exactly what it is. I somehow don't feel it at all. 😑

Looks like they went a little overboard with the sandpaper on this Orc Smasher for Mantic Armada. The gap is so huge that I could almost squeeze my finger through. Honestly, @manticgames.bsky.social, is that the standard you ship your miniatures in? #nerdlings #ManticGames #ManticArmada

We've put together the best map we could with the terrain available to us. Now we only have to think about what system to play on it.. Warcry?!

Thanks! Guess, I'll try it with less snow and more visible colors under the ice and more scratches on top of it. Another idea would be to color the snow a little too. Very light blue perhaps?

My first attempts of creating ice and snow bases. I'm not entirely convinced. Maybe I'll try it with grey/brown mud underneath and not the ice-like surface? #miniaturepainting #nerdlings

Another victory for the rat people! All hail to the Great Horned One! Motivation to build and paint the City of Ash Skaven is on a peak right now. I love this game 🫶🐁 #Skaven #Fyreslayer #Spearhead #AgeOfSigmar #AoS

A game of Warhammer Spearhead ready to be played. In the lower right corner Skaven have gathered and in the opposite corner Fyreslayers are ready to defend each inch of ground.

A group of ten Skaven and their master, a Warlock Engineer are in the front and looking towards some Fyreslayer duardin in the back.

End of battle. Only few Fyreslayers are left in the back. Skaven are still plenty with two units of clanrats, two Rat Ogors, a Grey Seer and a Warlock Engineer.

WIP of my Verminlord Corruptor. I really love the model. The alternative sculpt looks so much better than the multikit by GW. The opacity of the old Army Painter Warpaints could be better, though. The green of the model's robe needed about 5 coats... #Skaven #AgeOfSigmar #AoS #Warhammer

I like how the new rules feel: like a creepy growing forest! Highly Sylvanethish! I don't really get the Creeping Dread rule, though. Isn't it just "your opponent has to spend two cp instead of one?" "They have to choose" would only happen if they forget and you don't remind them, or am I wrong?
