Couldn't get a clean shed to save my life and the heddle was a workout to move. It was just the wrong set up. Chained and maybe it will live to see another day with a different plan!

Okay baby's first time using handspun as warp. Cross your fingers... This was the first fleece I ever processed from raw! Not perfect. But sentimental. I'm glad to finally be using it.

Tour de Fleece day 06 Plying time! Only tomorrow will be groundhog day because I want to tighten the twist so I'll be running it through my wheel again. 🫠🫠🫠 1/3 or so of it is a good angle. But I stopped counting my treadling and got lazy and paid the price...

Tour de Fleece day 4! Got a nice round of spinning in today and now I have two bobbins ready to ply! Now to decide if I ply tomorrow or if I spin more singles first and do all my plying of this fiber at one time... 🤔🤔🤔 I have enough bobbins to make it a reasonable question.

Here's the brown wool ply back test laid against my original ply back test for the white wool that I'm trying to match! These two yarns will be used together to make a color work sweater, so I want them to be pretty close to one another. The white now has lots of bonus cat hair...

Tour de Fleece day 2! Reporting in. :) I'm finding the roughly 50 grams I have portioned per day of this fiber is about right at the thicker grist that I'm spinning. I started a fresh bobbin today, and that's always soooo satisfying.

I portioned out (9) bundles of about 50 grams each of the brown Shetland roving. :D This is for a friend's sweater (in conjunction with the already spun white Shetland yarn) and I want to spin it every day until the first cycling rest day! (The wool obsessed cat is PLEASED).

Heatwave is so real I'm leaning hard into ugly survival tactics. Hang in there everyone. Stay hydrated.

A kitchen, the focus is on some tall windows that don't have curtains or blinds because the Netherlands sometimes refuses to believe in them. Instead there is brown paper taped to the windows and a strip of white fabric to let in a little light.
There are some clean dishes on the left of the sink and some dirty ones on the right.

I spend too much time on my phone in bed (whomst among us...). So I decided my phone needed a tiny lil bed of its own to sleep in! I made a miniature tatami and futon for my phone so I can put it to sleep at night and we can be twins on our matching beds. youtu.be/FkrY4FKdbg8

I saw an incredibly interesting fashion exhibit yesterday! Here's one of the pieces. Designer is Iris Van Herpen.
