imogen heap is lowkey so amazingly fire

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

and it's even funnier considering the lack of distinction between l and r in japanese because it's just sayonararara. idk anything about this show I just admire the name

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

why would you call it "goodbye lara" when the meaning of sayonara is widely understood in english and "sayonara lara" preserves the rhyme

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 10/07/2026

yessssssssssss

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 05/07/2026

this happens but maybe not always that it feels like detransitioning and more that it just feels dysphoric especially if they're just closeted. when I went to an audio/recording trade school almost all sound guys are men 😭 and it was like 💀

ikr to me it was mildly entertaining to check up on from a distance every so often and not be serious about but the people super serious in the trenches seemed like they were losing their minds

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 24/06/2026

wow I didn't know you were a digital circuser...

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 23/06/2026

nobody will ever draw anything this good again so why are we even trying

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 21/06/2026

this is pretty fun so far but it's weird playing an srpg where you can't make your units throw each other

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 21/06/2026

I can't stop stimming on jax requiem lyrics.

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 21/06/2026

this is killing me

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

ig it's more because they act upset that it was all a larp and he's like why are they upset. and bubble is like they hate you.

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

if they pressed the button to leave the caine crashout would've had a ton of momentum. but pressing the button to stay was mostly jax characterization moment and it feels like it didn't flow well for anyone else

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

awesome 👍

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

I don't even have depression I just have adhd so idk I miss my intense hyperfixations.

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

caine's thought processes are nonsensical and the change at the end is so immediate. what. it also bothers me that for some reason he gets more paranoid after they press the button to not leave (which should have calmed him down??? why contradict the momentum only to change direction right back)

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

it's kinda funny when people who are oomfs with me on bepista interact with my art on the other account but don't seem to have noticed that I'm oomf

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

imo more people should be complaining about how little sense caine's arc makes but for some reason they can only complain about jax

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

this is the crowning jewel of the entire tadc craze to me

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

it would feel awesome to sing along to this with a crowd of like 30 people

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

I love this video so much www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVoJ...

THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS - Ep 9: Jax Requiem | TADC Fan Animation

YouTube video by MilkyyMelodies

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

true... I mean even if everyone seems like they'd be supportive the paranoia to believe that it's all a lie is very real

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

it's also kind of interesting to me that being in the circus should in theory remove a lot of the larger societal pressures that'd make it unsafe to transition etc but all of those things are baked so deep into jax's head through trauma that she can't help but still be afraid

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

being dishonest with themselves and continuing to participate in toxic masculinity makes them a worse person and this is the point

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

some people act like the show tries to excuse jax's asshole behavior but it. didn't? imo there's a lot of nuance to be explored in the idea of how a trans girl can cling to the privileges of maleness as a shield but it'll still make them miserable

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

it's so fucking stupid to complain that the transness should be made more overt to baby the audience. genuinely who cares about the people who want to deny it? I don't think you should compromise what makes sense for the character just for irl perceptions

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

it's great jax is closeted until the end and it's great jax dies. idgaf. also I think people need to grasp that it's not a crime to use he/him for a character still in the closet (especially when the characters in the narrative literally don't know.) but it also doesn't make her any less trans

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

you can criticize like anything else about the show and I'd probably agree with you

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

I have a ton of criticism for tadc but I genuinely really like the idea and the attempt behind jax's story I think it's very raw and extremely refreshing to have a trans character like this that isn't just inclusionslop. and most of the criticism about this in specific is entirely invalid to me

That's enough Death of the Author. It's time for Death of the Audience. Start running fools

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

I think that part of it was good btw more characters should hallucinate that everyone is out to get them even when there's no sign of it. but the way everyone else suddenly accepts everything felt extremely stilted with speedrun pacing

noki @bepista.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

but bupropion isn't supposed to cause emotional blunting like other antidepressants so idk
