The way we treat the most vulnerable says a lot about who we are, so I changed my life to match what I know to be true: that sentient beings deserve our respect. Today I run @wildpinessanctuary.org , where rescued animals live as individuals, and grow food without animal inputs at Wild Pines Farm.

Then I met Lucy, a rabbit. Spending time with her brought back a memory I'd buried: the first time I went hunting alone, and what I felt when I saw the harm I was causing. I had learned to ignore that feeling. Lucy made it impossible to. If I respected others, I had to stop treating them as objects.

I grew up seeing some animals as "game" and others as products. I thought of myself as an animal lover the whole time, and I never saw the contradiction.

The science shows regenerative grazing simply doesn't work And I get it, it's a captivating well funded story ($200M from McD's otw), and it's easier to convince many that small tweaks are all that's needed vs. actual systemic changes away from beef 🧵here's 8+ reasons why this won't make beef eco

It is a modern framework shaped by today’s ecological limits and ethical questions. It focuses on how we choose to farm now (as participants in living systems, not dominators). Veganic agriculture is one way to practice regeneration that centers responsibility, mutual benefit, and respect for life.

Ben the Vegan Farmer @bentheveganfarmer.com · 05/01/2026
Veganic agriculture does not claim ownership over regenerative knowledge. Indigenous food systems sustained ecosystems through reciprocal relationships and responsibility long before industrial agriculture existed.

Ben the Vegan Farmer @bentheveganfarmer.com · 05/01/2026
Veganic farming starts from a different premise: humans are participants in ecological systems (not dominators). Regeneration is not just about soil. It is about how we choose to relate to living systems.

Veganic agriculture is regenerative farming guided by ethics. It uses proven regenerative practices already working at scale while expanding the focus beyond soil metrics. #VeganicAgriculture #RegenerativeFarming #EthicalAgriculture #LivingSoil

It’s also a good reminder that the myth of “no vegan fertilizers” is just that—a myth. Veganic farming isn’t only possible; it’s practical and incredibly beneficial. Thanks for following along as we keep challenging the norms of conventional agriculture and proving there’s a better way. 💚

Instead of conventional fertilizers, often from slaughterhouse byproducts or petrochemicals, we used a calculated mix of cottonseed meal and alfalfa pellets. Both 100% plant-based, supporting soil life and nutrient availability without the ethical and ecological costs of animal agriculture.

Typically we don’t use offsite amendments—relying fully on on-farm nutrient cycling and natural succession. But for our corn seed project, we decided to invest in a little extra nutrition to give this heirloom crop its best shot. #VeganicFarming #EthicalAgriculture #RegenerativeFarming #SoilHealth

Hunters claim coyotes never raise their tails and that black coyotes don’t exist. But here’s the proof. Coyotes do raise their tails, melanistic coyotes are real, and they are native predators. This misinformation fuels persecution and harms ecosystems #Coyotes #WildlifeConservation #ProtectWildlife

Join me as I debunk these common myths, compare possible sightings of a coydog, and discuss why nonviolent land management is not only possible but necessary. Let’s talk about the real impact of predator conservation, and why killing wildlife is not only cruel but also disrupts ecosystems.

In this video, we break down the actual footage of coyotes and their natural behaviors, including tail-raising, and explore why hunters struggle so much with accepting reality. Is it just misinformation, or is there something deeper—cognitive dissonance, perhaps?

After posting a video about coyotes using a new wildlife corridor on our farm, many hunters felt the need to tell me I was wrong. They claimed black coyotes don’t exist, that coyotes never raise their tails, and that I clearly didn’t know what I was talking about. youtu.be/ru6r66O49yU?...

Soil isn’t just dirt—it’s alive! 🌱 Beneath our feet, fungi, microbes, & insects work together to build fertility, store carbon, and sustain life. Regenerative farming—cover crops, mulch, & no-till—protects this vital ecosystem. Care for the soil, and it will care for us. 🌎💚 #SoilHealth #NoTill

A key issue is biodiversity loss. Most grazing systems prioritize a few species (cows, sheep, etc.), while plant-based approaches can restore wildlife corridors, pollinator habitat, and natural ecosystems. How can we encourage more biodiversity in agriculture?

Veganic growers focus on mulching, cover crops, composting, and natural soil amendments to rebuild soil fertility. No need for animal inputs when fungi, microbes, and plants do the real work! 🌾 What methods do you use to feed the soil?

Ben the Vegan Farmer @bentheveganfarmer.com · 12/02/2025
Conventional animal ag is often framed as “good for soil” because of manure, but the reality is that grazing, tillage, and monocultures degrade ecosystems. Erosion, compaction, and loss of soil life are major issues. Meanwhile, veganic and plant-based systems offer a different path.

I've noticed that some "conservation" focused nonprofits in my state still have yearly oyster roasts. It's always frustrating knowing that people who care so much don't make the connection between their consumption and the destruction of wildlife.

Hunters say they’re conservationists, but real conservation protects—it doesn’t kill. As a former hunter who now rescues animals and manages land for wildlife, I’ve seen the truth: hunting is just exploitation. If you care about wildlife, you don’t shoot them. #AnimalRights #VeganEthics #Wildlife
