You’re not seeing double. Four Magic artists took four of their own classic compositions through Jace’s Echoverse, and each one came out as something new. See what came out the other side when Duality Distorted arrives in the Chaos Vault, coming soon.

Magic card from the Duality Distorted drop 'Thoughtseize' over a shattered-glass effect, with the classic card 'Brainstorm' cracked and visible behind it. Both cards were illustrated by DiTerlizzi, who modeled the original 'Brainstorm' after his wife and this reimagined 'Thoughtseize' after his daughter. The illustration shows a woman with long hair and a raven skull headdress, touching her temples, surrounded by glowing orbs.

Magic card from the Duality Distorted drop 'Pyroblast' over a shattered-glass effect, with the classic card 'Counterspell' cracked and visible behind it. Both cards were illustrated by Mark Poole, who reimagined the same wizard now casting the spell instead of having it countered. The illustration shows a bearded man in robes raising his hand, with fire and a glowing ring of energy behind him.

Magic card 'Desperate Ritual' from the Duality Distorted drop over a shattered-glass effect, with the classic card 'Dark Ritual' cracked and visible behind it. Both cards were illustrated by Sandra Everingham, who brought back the same hooded mage from the original. The illustration shows the faceless, hooded figure reaching forward within a fiery, lightning-wreathed archway, with open books floating beside them.

Magic card from the Duality Distorted drop 'Tribute to the World Tree' over a shattered-glass effect, with the classic card 'Presence of the Master' cracked and visible behind it. Both cards were illustrated by Phil Foglio, who reimagined the original composition. The illustration shows a figure with long hair in a stained-glass-style circular frame, with sun, moon, and floral motifs around the border.

Elevators. How do I love thee? Not nearly as much as I did when I was 9 or, probably, will when I'm 79. 🤞 Or after I break my foot for a few weeks, or develop MS, or the zillion other ways our bodies change over the course of our lives.

I asked my younger boy what he wanted to do today while his older brother was occupied. He asked “what’s up on Granville Street today?” When he heard they were showing cartoons and had free ice cream, he was sold! He later asked to go into 4 stores and have lunch there. Pedestrian streets can work.

People on comfy blowup chairs and foldable chairs on Granville Street watching a classic Superman cartoon on a big screen.

A pop-up flower shop and other tent stations with food, goods being sold, etc. during a street festival on the pedestrianized Granville Street in downtown Vancouver.

Kids sliding on the “guitar slide” that also cranks music on the bus pedestrian street.

People enjoying food at the Taiwanese street festival on the pedestrianized Granville Street, on the last weekend of the seven week extension after the initial pedestrian zone during the World Cup.

From the pilot: "Spy seems bad. Jeskai emphemerate and faeries are also not ideal. I think Affinity is the best midrange deck against aggro, so it is probably weak to grindy decks that can go over the top and/or don’t care about KC Shaman."

It's my CASCADE CASCADE debut! 🥳 As a long-time Final Fantasy fan, Ken Yukuhiro's Pro Tour FINAL FANTASY victory has lived rent-free in my head for over a year. So, I've written about what it meant to me and how it can shape competitive narratives on Magic's biggest stage. RT's welcome!

To avoid a big hit to your pocketbook, support strict Zone Zero rules for homes built in wildfire hazard zones. When tinderbox designs like this one burn, those of us in safer places get our premiums jacked up by billions to bail out the state‘s insurance plan for homes built in dangerous places.

“One mile on a bike is a $.42 economic gain to society, one mile driving is a $.20 loss.” “Which means that Copenhagen, a city of 1.2 million people, saves $357 million a year on health costs because something like 80% of its population commutes by bike.” #CityMakingMath Some costs are savings.
