Thai friends & allies been trying to fight the use of Lèse-majesté on so many levels in the last few years. Lastest stage of that fight is the campaign to repeal order 41 which increased the penalty for royal defamation after the 1976 coup as it's 50th anniversary approaches.

The October 6 Memorial Network has filed petitions with the Bhumjaithai Party and the People’s Party calling for the repeal of an order made following the military coup of 1976 which increased the penalty for royal defamation.
