A MAJOR aspect to UPA inspired styles is off-register coloring. When mimicking the UPA backgrounds, DO NOT fill in the outlines properly.

Fuck ChatGPT flyers. The future is broadsheets.

A crowded broadsheet with way too many fonts. It says:
Forget ChatGPT Flyers
Say it with
Broadsheets
Unlimited fonts
Stretch them
Or cram a really long sentence into one line for no good reason
No whitespace
Mix capital and lowercase
Pointing hands
(They're called manicules!)
Don't be left behind
Broadsheets are the future

Meet Mr.YEN! A few days ago, I posted some vegetable characters I made, and, would you believe it, a farmer gave me a whole bag of fresh veggies the very next day. So this time… well, you know.

Early TV ads were a lifeline for Japanese animators. This stuff allowed for amazing creativity, even when other avenues didn't. Japan had world-class animated ads from the '50s onward. We're looking into a few of them today: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/japans-oth...

Betchu got that from Wikipedia. All the puppets in Davey and Goliath actually weren't clay figures at all! They used ball-and-socket armatures casted in foam rubber with painted plastic heads for all the human puppets. I know this on many accounts from some of the OG crew members via interviews.
