For all who followed my English-teacher to school-librarian to inquiry-teacher journey, here’s the sign I’ll be posting on Monday (the first day of school!) outside my new classroom. #edusky #tlsky #skybrarians #inquiry @slj.com @neanh.bsky.social

This summer my rising 8th grader (13) said he wanted to learn #karate. He’s an introvert, so I was excited. We visited several dojos and decided on one. (1/7)

Small Albert most definitely *did not* eat the pretzels that were on the counter. #shelties #dogsofsky

Small Albert, a tricolor sheltie, has a pretzel on his nose. He's unaware.

Adding the final touches to the #inquirymap article. An Adjacent Question is one that contains *both* of the Key Terms from the Original Question. An Advancing Question contains only *one* of the Key Terms from the Original Question. #edusky #tlsky #skybrarians #inquiry

Last year I started growing a Chicago Hardy Fig tree ordered from Burpee. It did great in the garden, but all its branches died off in the winter. New growth appeared in May, and now IT’S TWO FEET TALL!!! Anyone know anything about growing figs in New Hampshire? #figs #newbeginnings #garden

Look what arrived in the mail! I’ll be interviewing author @rosanneparry.bsky.social as part of a project I’m doing with middle schoolers this year. I met Rosanne last year when we selected A Wolf Called Wander as the lead title in our One Book program. #edusky #tlsky #skybrarians #booksky

From this Morning’s Writing: The process of physically arranging inquiry questions on the map and then adding topography prompts reflection. What feature forced these roads to diverge? Was the river of our conversation an obstacle, or a way to move forward quickly? #edusky #tlsky #skybrarians

Small Albert has found the fan again. It takes a heat wave before he discovers it every summer. Happy fellow, now. #sheltie #dogsofsky

From this Morning’s Writing: An inquiry map resembles a process paper written in real-time. Questions can be moved around into different positions. Mountains, lakes, bridges, cabins, even castles can be added. Arrows show the way. How did we get where we ended up? #edusky #tlsky #skybrarians

After a foot of snow, Small Albert was eager for a game of Frisbee in the Dog Maze. Sheltie folks, do you dig mazes for your dogs? We sort of have to, here in NH. #shelties #dogs

Albert loves a good tennis ball, but Frisbees are better in snow because they don’t get lost. #SheltieOfBluesky #Shelties #SheltiesOfSky #Sheltie #ShetlandSheepdog #ShetlandSheepdogs
