Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 1mI'm so sorry, Ash. I know I've said it before, but if there's anything I / we (the collective BS massive) can do for you, please let us know. I know online relationships are a bit nebulous compared with the actual real people in your life, but there's a lot of people on here who are here for you. 000

Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 08/10/2026It was 100% the right choice. No one in their right mind would daily a Biturbo. Not even me! 120
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I'm not actually bothered about the Bond connection. I just thought it was a lovely model of a Biturbo! It is sitting on my desk very well with the Mondial QV I bought earlier this year. Pretty perfect 2 car garage, in fact. 120
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 08/10/2026£8.92 from eBay, including postage. Bargain. Hopefully this will quell my Biturbo desire for a week or two... 4351
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Frazzle loves a beach, but as soon as he gets on one he starts barking with excitement and doesn't stop until we leave. It makes doggy beach days somewhat challenging. 130
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I wonder how this looks on a map of constituencies. I feel there may be pockets of deep support for Reform where that 24% will be an big underestimate, but nationally that might mean they gain less ground than the 24% suggests. Does also mean that Lib Dems could be v important as balance of power. 110
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I know exactly how it is. Hard* to fight those urges. *impossible 010
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Crumbs. That's not cheap. You'd want a perfect one for that money. I would almost be tempted to wait a year or two. They're at the top of their market right now in my view and may drop back. 100
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I am no expert but my understanding is the 1600 is the sweeter engine, albeit obviously a tad less powerful. My view with something like this is you buy on condition alone. Buy the one that's better. In terms of price, there won't be much difference between the two. Again, all about condition. 110
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Love to see a promo image for a car show that hasn't been generated with AI! 140
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 07/10/2026For some reason (the first cold, wet day of the autumn, maybe) the garden is suddenly full of tits, blue, great and long tailed. Here's a chirpy little long tailed fella for you. 160
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I was also there, Jonathan! I quite liked it but mainly as it had a wondrous-looking V12 under the perspex engine cover. Which of course didn't make it to production. On looks, I agree with you. Not an attractive design on any level. 040
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Toyota: reliable Comfortable: of course it is, just look at it! Convenient: when it's no longer 9,000 miles away, then yes. 020
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 06/10/2026There is a lot to be said for a reliable, comfortable, convenient daily. Life's challenging enough without permanently being in a state of a) recovering from, or b) making preparations for, fixing your car(s) 040
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Paging @crackedwindscreen.bsky.social @ajpbradley.bsky.social and a million other people who rightly called this shit out a long time ago 010
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Have you not heard, John? They really are absolutely terrible! (I've got your back, mate 😉) 220
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 06/10/2026It's definitely overstyled, like most contemporary cars. But I like the proportions better than those of the Jag. The Jag is cleaner and definitely more modern. And as per above, I don't mind it. I even think there's something quite distinctly Jaguar about it. But the glasshouse is too small. 110
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Yes, very much. The Cadillac is definitely the better looking car. 110
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Will be interesting to see how it drives. Also how good the interior ambience is, as that is vitally important at this end of the market. But yes, there is a sense that they designed a concept car and maybe didn't take a pragmatic enough approach to productionising the ultimate design. 030
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 06/10/2026If it was a Bristol, the spare wheel would be behind it. 030
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I quite like it. However, those windows are so shallow that it looks like it is going to be an extremely claustrophobic place to be. Also... what is the product plan for Jag? Is this the whole range? Or will a smaller car and an SUV arrive later? 360
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Fancy basking in a bit of motorsport history? An amazing finale to the WRC championship at the weekend, and @warrennel.bsky.social has all the details for you. 🏴🏴🏴 110
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Well, there is that. I will never be a racer, down to two main reasons: I don't have the money, and I don't have the talent. But a bit of fun motorsport where I'm basically competing against myself is definitely still on the cards. The Fairthorpe still needs a few grand spending on it though... 010
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Best of luck with whatever the new chapter holds. And I am really hopeful that the new Jaguar is a roaring success! 010
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Once again tapping the "Money can't buy taste" sign... 030
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I've always maintained that the most enjoyable bit of self-employment is sending out invoices. Good luck, chap. May your lungs remain free from unpleasantness! 010
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 05/10/2026🙏 It's such a fun thing but having done a few long-ish journeys in it now I can tell you it's... quite the sensory overload. Also need to bite the bullet and spend some proper money on it to get it to where I want it to be... 010
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 05/10/2026You're certainly not the first to get caught out and you won't be the last! 020
Ben Jackson @benjacksontp.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Yep. The impact is huge. All thanks to the orange fool across the pond. 030
