Just wanted to point out that with Trump attempting to rename Lake Ontario to Lake America, the acronym for the Great Lakes would no longer be HOMES. It would be SHAME.

I love that I work a job where “Someone is feeding text from War and Peace, by Leo Tolstoy, into that request field” is the actual root-cause analysis for unusually large log entries

Still thinking about when @massicotte.org sat down with me at WWDC a few years ago, and walked through structured concurrency with me. Literally have understood it so much better ever since

If Apple is able to identify your contacts in camera roll photos, I wonder what’s stopping them from making it easy to simply share the photos with those people?

The new carousel-style modal that Apple Pay uses to show your payment methods is such a clever way to show alternatives while keeping a primary item focused

In the Xcode 27 beta, the Xcode MCP now exposes tools for changing active schemes, adding entitlements, adding info.plist files, and much more. It now exposes 47 tools - up from ~20 previously.

Tomorrow I begin my journey to Prague for @mdevcamp.bsky.social! I can't think of a better (or at least more in-character) way to be introduced to Prague, than by gathering with a bunch of fellow mobile devs. Looking forward to helping folks cut their teeth on the workings of the iOS Keychain!

As much as we all love the Xcode MCP permission prompts that never end, you can proxy the MCP so that you’re just approving it once. I do not feel a need to approve it more than once. Once is approvey enough. gist.github.com/bfreiband/db...

Today I have made zero progress on the things I *should* be doing. But on the other hand, I’ve been wildly successful at over-engineering CI infrastructure for an app I haven’t even released. And you know what? I learned a ton from it :)
