I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! 90 day resignation exercise almost complete with dignity intact. I finish work at the end of next week. I can almost touch it....just keeping on smiling and doing the little that is left for me to do. Not going to mess it up now.

Busy day.. helped stock fridges for city mission. 40 litres pumpkin soup 107 jars of marmalade 108 pasta bakes.( Savory mince pasta, bechamel and cheese..) will feed 2-4 people. Really great result for our snall volunteer group. Feeds the soul and the people that need it most. Amazing helpers

43 days left to go in my notice period for my job. I am over half way now. Can't say its been a piece of cake. Its mentally challenging at times. Helps knowing there's a new job at the end of it.

🇳🇿🪡🧵🧶cross stitch. 🐕 I finished it! It took a few years but it is done and I love it. These are my chihuahuas. The on the right had epilepsy and passed away a few years ago now. I still have the dog on the left.

It yook a few years to complete and poppy is no longer with me now but she was when i started so this is an extra special project. She had epilepsy that we managed carefully for more than 5 years. One very special dog.

I've completed the first month of my 3 month notice. Keeping a positive outlook is challenging. My job has moved from valued staff to transactional. It's time to take action using annual leave to shorten my work weeks. Looking for ideas small things I can do to make me feel worthy.

I used a nz atlas to wallpaper my toilet. Great talking point and continual learning opportunity. Have since renovated the toiltet area but we left it up behind the wall for someone to discover one day when they renovate.

So I resigned last week and have to work 3 months notice. I have developed rash and as I'm mentally preparing for tomorrow the rash appears to react to these thoughts. I really hope I can get this under control. I have 82 days to go.

Today I was part of a small team of people who helped prepare 60 litres of soup. 38 jars of fejoa jam and 50 trays of pasta bake for the city mission. Feeds the people and feeds the soul.

Pasta bake, mince with pasta shells bechamel sauce and cheese waiting for their lids.

My brother turned up on my doorstep last night on a suprise visit from san francisco with a loaf of san francisco sour dough bread for me. It was delicious 😋

I use "my lovely man". Which might seem a bit cheesy but works for me after 38 years together partner or fiance (engaged forever) never worked. "My man" works too. It saves people making wrong assumptions which has happened on occasion.

Its pretty tough getting older. My chihuahua Georgie had a number of teeth removed at the same age and much happier for it. You may find eating habits change. Mine doesn't like bowls anymore. We found a silicone mat made it easier.

I got my flu and covid jab today at work. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that elected for the covid shot & thankful work paid. I overheard a colleague say oh we don't need that anymore. I may be judged for my choice but I'm not judging others just a little surprised.

After 124800 stitches and a couple of years I have finally finished the cross stch my brother gave me for Christmas. Now to wash and prepare for framing. #crossstitching #crossstitch 🪡🧵🇳🇿

It took a few years of stitching at least once a week and used Aida 22ct.

Poppy has since passed away now and Georgie is now 12 years old.

You cant even talk to people about the weather. Just in general chitchat mentioned recent storm and climate change. Person was genuinely surprised. Climate change is not a thing. The recent storms apparently were caused by weather modifications. I need a new safe topic for conversations.

I finished the model I received from my mid winter secret santa. It was a bit fiddly in parts so it took longer than I thought. I am really happy with the end result. Thank you 😊 it was a good week project.

I'm really enjoying guitar practice and even as a beginner I can play a tune that sounds like a song 6 weeks in. My adult son was even singing along quietly under his breath the other day while i played. I didn't let on that I heard him. Glad it was recognizable.

This is my work plant. I have had this since I started this job over 12 years ago. It survived lock-in and office moves, but is struggling to hold on since the christmas break. This morning I gave it an iv line before I undertake drastic measures of repotting. I feel quite attached.

My holidays are nearly over. They have been filled with crafting projects which has been great for the soul. One being this staycation project. A resin kitset model. Ferrari 458 Speciale. My lovely man painted the body, but the rest was me. Each piece built and painted by hand.

My lovely man thought I was ready to graduate from a ukelele to an electric guitar this christmas. The chords are in different places. I'm starting again from scratch it feels like. Oh well. It's never too late to be a Rockstar.

Omg. After pulling it apart twice and restarting from scratch I can finally say done and it worked. This was an intense and challenging. You can only test properly once fully built, so there was no way to know if it was correct until it was completed. Those that know engines would find it easier

Plastic model of a v8 engine fully built with only a few spare parts....I followed the instructions (third time lucky) Battery powered model that even works. I don't think that it would work for long without throwing off parts. But i can call this finished.
