Just finished this wonderful new series What it Feels Like for a Girl. This was the most important series I've seen this year. Flawless, raw, heartfelt, honest and all the above buzz words. It is must see viewing and is exactly the kind of tv series that needs commissioned.

My book, The Ghost Merchant is due out 7th July. So I will be answering some questions on here about the process of creating the book, the world and the characters. The first question was - What inspired you to write the book in the very beginning?

Keir Starmer's disability benefit cuts will hit 700,000 families already living in poverty, internal government figures show. This is in addition to the 250,000 people, who the DWP's own impact assessment suggests will be newly driven into poverty by the cuts www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

Haven't done any writing for around a month since finishing my latest manuscript and it feels really odd. I have no current ideas in my head for my next book. I've got 2 finished, 1 ready for beta readers but this is a scary feeling. Focusing on reading indie books while I wait for inspiration.

Little announcement today for world book day. I am opening up my books to be sold beyond Amazon. This means you can use my ko-fo store to get direct eBook files for all my books and also order signed editions from myself as well. (signed paperbacks are currently UK only sadly.) #booksky

I've got a 200 year old ghost cat called Wilson in mine. He spends most of the novel sleeping on a cushion, eating or being a comfort for the cast of characters.

Render of a paperback book titled The Ghost Merchant. The cover is of a house in the centre of a forest, illustrated with a blue colour pallet.

Finished the first draft for my next novel today, and it feels great reaching this point. There is still lots to do before it'll be anywhere near ready, but I'm celebrating. #writingcommunity

Thank you for covering the disgraceful DWP & benefit overall, Matthew. Not many voices are talking about this. The assessments and criteria for it are a humiliating and stressful experience that lasts months at a time. Hearing the rhetoric recently is only adding to disabled people's misery.

I have a dystopian, political novel with a touch of light Sci-Fi due out and I still can't work out what kind of book cover I should get for it. It's called DIVIDED and about a country pushed apart by the government with a wall built down the centre to separate people...👀. Any help or ideas #booksky

I'm so sick of this BS and blaming vulnerable people for the issues in this country. If you self dignoses yourself for anything, there is 0 chance you would get through all the forms, paperwork, interviews and assessments to claim any benefits. www.lbc.co.uk/news/tony-bl...

Had a good writing day today. 10k in 1 day is unheard of! The project keeps changing in ways I'm not expecting & going off my set plan (that is really unlike me) but I think all the changes are for the better. Here's to more productive days like this for the rest of January! #writingcommunity

Book review 2.5/5⭐️ I don't like giving low scores, but this one felt very divisive while I was reading it, and I don't think I enjoyed it too much. #bookreview

I said last year that the anti trans movement doesn't stop there. They always come for more. With Metas new t&c's and also the Supreme Court being urged to change the definition of marriage to stop same sex marriage in Idaho. Anyone in a minority will be next on the list.

Facebook, Insta and Threads no longer fact checking and copying Elons Community Notes is beyond infuriating. They also copied the buy a blue tick system and all this stuff just annoys me. Social media is turning into a cesspit everywhere and I feel powerless to do anything against billionaires.

Kiers words here were great. Elon has totally lost his mind over the past few weeks (okay, maybe years) and his platform it totally out of control. He seems to be attacking country after country thinking because he bought Trump and the last election he can take on any place he wants to now.

Laura K opens saying reform seem to be growing every day. Yeah I wonder why when these channels plaster every panel show and interview with his face. Yet there is NO rep from Green or Lib dem on the show. Reform have FIVE mps. They are tiny.

So I have a book launching around June time. A totally new genre for me, a move from Domestic Mystery to Urban Fantasy. I want to get some super early eyes on it before it send it off for ARC's in March. How do I find a few trustful people to give it a read for feedback and help with target audience

Bad Sisters Series 2 - AppleTV+ SPOILERS So I've just seen episode 3, in disbelief that they actually killed Grace. Main response is why? But also, anyone else feel that killing her is a huge cop out but also makes any stakes the story had just dissappear off the edge of a cliff?

All over my tik tok and Twitter feed are people getting excited about this. They actually think this will lead to an election being called and Nigel Farage of all people becoming PM. Are people really that thick? Oh wait Nadine Dorries has also signed it. Guess they are.
