Lovely bit of Spring content, never seen so many people put their dogs on leads so quickly!

It’s a hard life being a pub dog but somehow Monty manages it!

Not my usual sort of read at all but absolutely marvellous! Devoured in 2 days and will be looking for the back catalogue!

Bloody marvellous read! It’s not often you come across a really new variation of the tortured detective theme but @whusseyauthor.bsky.social really achieves it with the fantastic Scott Jericho a gay fairground traveller and disgraced ex CID officer who struggles with his demons. Great stuff!

Drive up north on Weds back to London today, I do miss @therealnihal.bsky.social on long drives, nothing against the new guy but Nihal brought something different to his slot as opposed to pretty much 6 hours politics! The variety of guests Nihal had meant you always felt you’d learned something!

I struggle to find the description of “found footage” books and if I’m honest I find them annoying….. Unless they’re written by @janicehallett.bsky.social every single story is amazing, they’re crafted beautifully and there’s always 1 more twist than you thought! Monty thinks good enough to eat!

“Why don’t you stick to acting?” It’s a taunt I often have hurled at me. I am a gay man in America whose marriage is under threat. The last time Trump was in office, hate crimes against AAPIs skyrocketed. I care deeply about this country and the future of our democracy. I’ll stick to activism.

If you only watch 1 major TV series this December then make sure it’s “Day of the Jackal” Television at its highest art form, beautifully written, directed and acted

How have I never read anything by @dominicnolan.bsky.social before, Vine Street is an absolute masterpiece (which I ordered having seen the acclaim for White City, also in the TBR pile) will be searching the rest of the back catalogue as well!

One of the things I love about my job is that every year we donate a Christmas Day table to a family that deserves it, this will be our 9th year of doing it! Working with great small charity called Something To Look Forward To who provide experiences like this for people suffering with cancer 1/2

This has been sat on the TBR pile for far too long, definitely picked up from a Twitter recommendation so thanks to the probably more than 1 who steered me this way, brilliant gripping read, already looking forward to the next one! @whusseyauthor.bsky.social

So I had about 8000 followers on Twitter, it was hard to let that go! 3 months ago I wondered if I should leave but was convinced to stay, we need to fight the good fight after all… So it turns out we lost the good fight but that means I took the step to delete Twitter today, no more appeasing!

Great read, very much enjoying the Goldsboro books crime collective, basically a 12 month subscription with a different signed first edition new release each month, A Reluctant Spy by @davegoodman.bsky.social was the first and also excellent! Looking forward to the next one
