This morning I attended the legislative breakfast hosted by the Southwest Suburban Health Department at the Greenfield Library. There is so much work to do to better take care of members of our community. I look forward to supporting this work happening in Greenfield.

Data centers are a hot topic right now and people are rightfully concerned. While my opponent has taken contributions from the companies trying to raise your rates, I'll fight for a moratorium until ratepayers are protected and local communities get real control.

Some great weather today for door knocking! Thanks to all my neighbors in Greenfield and Milwaukee that spent time talking with me. I had some great conversations about how we can protect people from data centers, bring down the cost of living, and lower our property taxes.

Hannie and I had a fantastic time at the Trimborn Farm Harvest of Arts & Crafts this morning. Many thanks to the hardworking organizers and talented artists who braved the rain. And to all our neighbors who said hi or stopped for a conversation. #Milwaukee

On the anniversary of September 11th, we remember the cost and sacrifice of those days. We remember the first responders and ordinary citizens who ran towards danger because people needed help and because it was the right thing to do. And we remember the loved ones lost and lives changed.

Folks are being squeezed in every direction, and especially by healthcare costs. We need a legislature that will take swift action: expanding BadgerCare, capping prescription drug prices, and bringing down costs for all of us. This will be a day one priority for me as your next state representative!

It was great to be out in Downtown Greendale today with Senator Tammy Baldwin! We got to chat with community members and local business owners about the issues they’re facing and how new leadership in the state assembly can make a difference.

When the Army sends you across the country or across the world, you don't stop being a Wisconsinite. I spent 11 years in uniform, away from home. Four years at West Point, then seven on active duty as an infantry officer and paratrooper.

Last year, the Republican-controlled legislature failed to fund two veterans' homeless shelters in Green Bay and Chippewa Falls, resulting in their closure and a huge loss of care in those communities. www.jsonline.com/story/news/p...

Proud to share that our campaign has earned the endorsement of VoteVets, the nation's largest progressive veterans organization. I served for seven years in the Army as a paratrooper and infantry officer, and I know what it means to put service over self.

My wife, Hannie, recently returned home after two weeks doing her annual service with the U.S. Army Reserves. I'm incredibly grateful for her continued service to our country, and even more grateful to have her home for the holiday and her birthday weekend.

This is exactly why I support a pause on new large data centers statewide until we can create a regulatory framework and ensure they don’t raise our rates. If we leave this up to the utilities and big tech companies, normal rate payers will get stuck footing the bill. www.wpr.org/news/we-ener...

OTD in 1963, President John F. Kennedy delivered the commencement address at The American University: “Too many of us think [peace] is impossible. … Our problems are manmade—therefore, they can be solved by man. And man can be as big as he wants. No problem of human destiny is beyond human beings.”
A color photograph taken from slightly below and to the left of President Kennedy delivering the commencement address at The American University in Washington, DC, on June 10, 1963. It is sunny and the sky is blue and mostly clear. Kennedy is wearing a black academic gown and standing on a raised platform behind a wooden lectern decorated with the presidential seal. University officials in gowns academic regalia sit behind him (one mopping his brown with a handkerchief). On a railing in front of the lectern is a large circular seal of the university with its name around the perimeter in large white letters on a red background, a drawing of the United States Capitol, the date 1893, and a motto above the drawing in Latin, "Pro Deo Et Patria" (For God and Country).

Exciting news in the 61st AD: our current incumbent, Bob Donovan, is polling behind a generic Democrat. Our district knows that the current Republican majority isn't doing enough to make life in Wisconsin an affordable place to live, work, and raise a family. We're all ready for a change!
A graphic show Bob Donovan polling at 41% and a Democratic Candidate polling at 46%.

Wisconsin public schools are in crisis, and it’s affecting all of us. 📉 Costs are rising 🚫 State funding isn’t keeping up 💸 Property taxes keep climbing School districts are stuck in a lose-lose: Cut programs kids rely on OR ask voters for more money.
