Outstanding post by… a Nebraska fan?!?! Which sign of the Apocalypse is that again?

Hoping for a better outcome! But this time I’ll be in the stands instead of surprising my dear friend in Vegas for his birthday. Although I could not have asked for a better cover story for why I’d miss it than Game Day coming to town.

When Gary Dolphin says the game is over, the GAME is OVER.

Michigan is a very good 2-2 team. How ‘bout them Hawks?

Hey Google, what does bribery look like?

This made me cry. Simply because we went through the same thing with our own pit-mix rescue, Emmett. We don’t know what all this poor guy went through in Texas, but it wasn’t good. These last few years with us he’s remembered how to be a dog again. He’s just a big sweetheart, full of love.

And all the while the GOP and their supporters pretend to be the biggest, loudest patriots. Cowards.

There is one way to properly treat a bully. And it’s not appeasement.

So now tackling people out of bounds is legal? Good to know. Keep being awful at your jobs, refs. It’s what you do worst.

Is Ben Johnson a very good coach? Yes, of course he is. But many of these experts talk him up to be an offensive genius and then you watch his team struggle when they face an actually good defense. Yeah… sorry, I’m not there yet. He’s not a bad offensive mind by any means, clearly.

You know what, maybe I haven’t given cats enough credit in the past. They might make good pets.

Watching Matt Campbell lose it when his players make mistakes just make me appreciate Kirk so much more. Instead of reacting, Kirk just notes when & who made the error and they’ll address it later as a teachable moment. That’s how you freaking coach people and I’m here for that all day long.

I am so afraid the DNC will misread their (probable) victories as a call for business-as-usual. No. People are fucking pissed off. Restore order or you’re next!

This is the relationship by pit-mix Emmett is trying to have with the family of deer that hang out in our neighborhood. He wants to be friends with them so much.

Ben Bessman @ben-bessman.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Sadly a bit too late for both. Last one left please remember to turn off the lights. Robots won’t need ‘em.

It’s literally this simple. We’re all in this together. Just be kind to each other.

The Chicago Bears scored… 59 points in their season opener. Holy crap. These are not your traditional Bears.

Yep. Thank goodness we didn’t elect a narcissist baby-man with thin skin who would get us stuck in a meaningless war in that region. Oh wait…

000

What part of our country would we give up to an invading country? Oh- not a damn inch? Weird that anybody would expect Ukraine to give in though.

Ben Bessman @ben-bessman.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Ben Johnson… punting the ball is NOT failure. Please use the weapon on your team known as Tory Taylor.

Gosh, that’d just be a shame, wouldn’t it?

“Egos”? Clark is very down to earth and humble. Yes, she talks trash on the court, like many competitors do, but that’s it. Don’t mistake how the media builds her up to how Clark thinks about herself. Two completely different things. She’s a team player. Always has been.

Divide and conquer has always been the Haves main tactic to keep the Have Nots from unifying against them. Why do you think they’re pushing hard for AI now? Nothing will scramble all communication quicker and work harder to keep us separated.

Being a horror movie fan, I DO have concerns… but I trust the science and the very smart people who have been working hard on this for years. We know how damaging radiation is to our bodies, why not give this a shot?

Wow. Never expected the number to be near 25%. That’s (sadly) incredible, and remarkably frustrating that we can’t get more help for those dealing with this.

Still in disbelief that half the country absolutely lost their mind over this, and that this peaceful form of protest cost him his career.

Due to being overwhelmed for the past few weeks with various things, my wife and I had to cancel all our plans this weekend to recover. Bright side of that- just got back from a matinee showing of “The Muppet Movie” (1979) with our youngest (adult) child. Really needed that. Love that flick.

Gosh. Weird what happens when you fight healthcare reform youth and nail no matter what your voters need, huh? It’s almost as if some “leaders” are more focused on the party line than leading their people to a better place.

This here. As somebody dealing with Long Covid, it really pisses me off when people use dishonest arguments to go after those that did their best to protect us from it. Not every step they took in dealing with an unknown was perfect. It’s never going to be. But they did their honest best.
