My first love in life was literature and writing. Over the past decade, it has been an on/off relationship, but I returned to creative writing more consistently this year, and braved doing a thing! Excited to have a couple of poems accepted for publication in the next issues of Interfere Journal.

Phenomenal way to start the @ctsgbrighton.bsky.social #BoxBreakers conference with an insightful talk from @kevinguyan.bsky.social about data, labels, and active resistance to being defined by a box.

I don't think this is talked about enough - how incredibly validating the #QualitativeInterviewing process can be for the #Researcher, when the people for whom the research is intended talk about the value they see in your work. This is the motivation that gets me through the bleakest #PhD days.

Inspired by the diverse, interesting and important work of my @ctsgbrighton.bsky.social, unified by their interest in people and enabling #SocialChange! With the state of global politics, it feels like a huge privileged to have this space, and the work itself - an ongoing act of #Resistance.

An interesting first for me today: after 11 on-line interviews, I am conducting my first 'in-person' one. Invested in a little voice recorder, and now feeling like a proper professional researcher. #PhD #PhDVoice #QualitativeResearch #Interview #AllTheGear

Delight to have been invited to present at the Bakhita Centre 10th anniversary conference taking place at St Mary's University, Twickenham on 6-7 February. I will be presenting my doctoral #research on a panel looking at the intersection between #ModernSlavery and #DomesticAbuse. #PhD #PhDVoice
