tbh if microsoft offers to buy out your studio you might as well fire everyone upfront and save them the hassle.

They removed CD/DVD drives from PCs. -Made physical media harder to buy and use. -Removed expandable storage from phones. -Pushed us into streaming subscriptions. -Made always-online normal. -Made unlimited internet necessary. -Slowly raised the price of everything. Ownership quietly became renting.

I feel the main point of video games right now is that if I catch myself scrolling too much on social media I can say to myself, "if I'm gonna waste my time I'd might as well be playing a video game, which would actually be fun." It's hard to argue with that logic

It's very easy to SAY your game is a massively open RPG with tons of story interactions and character building mechanics. The real tricky part is actually doing it.

I need your help: I really need that next game that touches you. A game you think about months after you finished it. A game where artstyle music story and gameplay come together to form something special. What's the first game that popped into ur mind?

just finished Pillars of Eternity 1 after 60h! Great game. the perfect homage to the Infinity Engine games. Its a mix of Baldurs Gate, Planescape. Great Story, great writing, fun combat, interesting lore, cool companions, beautiful backgrounds, good roleplay, cool bilds, perfect music. 9/10

Had a dream about a game last night: first 3rd was a 2D Metroidvania. second 3rd had classic dungeon crawler level design and resident evil like puzzles and stalker enemies in 3rd person. last 3rd had Cluster Truck like movement in a megastructure filled with giant monsters.

Game 20 of 2025 complete: Dark Souls 3 w/ DLCs. I replayed this game, but experienced the DLC for the first time. I enjoyed both. They weren't too long, and the boss fights felt challenging, but fair. That said, I have many thoughts comparing DS3 to Elden Ring which I've attached as an image.
