Giggling because I've just taken a look at my Ao3 bookmarks again and really assessed the notes I've kept on each of my favourites and I love my taste in fanfiction, I am a connoisseur honestly

As its second anniversary approaches, I decided to revisit "My One and True Enemy", my first #Haladriel fic. I’ve added over 1,600 words, including new dialogue, expanded scenes, and a few changes incorporating elements from the upcoming #TROP S3. Enjoy it! ❤️ archiveofourown.org/works/600676...

Taking a break from socials bc all the discourse over the past few months is making me want to curl up in a ball. I just want to run away and work on my creative things and talk to no-one. Don't know how long I'll be, maybe a day, maybe months. Those who message me often, you know where to find me.

How does time go so fast? We've been in this place for nine months today. That's enough time to grow a new human. Before that we were in our previous country for nearly six years, just like that. Yet both of them feel like a dream.

The 1930s in Paris must have been wild because I just found this Josephine Baker song about sucking dick and I love it.

I see over there by her husband
A lady saying, "I want some too"
Beautiful lady coming home tonight
You're gonna get some!
Give him a kiss on the lips
He won't refuse you anything
And he'll put on the table
That sweet treat!

The cane, cane, cane, cane, cane
My favourite dessert
The cane, the cane
The cane from my country
Do you want some cane?
Sugar cane, it's crazy!
It's better than a banana
You suck on it from the small end

Ladies, take my offering
You'll find it so thrilling
That to your husbands, you little sweethearts
You'll say, "Give me more!"
Oh, Miss, you've given it all
And I just wanted a little piece
To see if you were right
About how good it is!

Do you want some cane?
Sugar cane, it's crazy!
It's better than a banana
You suck on it from the small end
Ladies, I recommend
You take advantage of the chance
And show your sweet tooth
For the repopulation

I'm rewatching S1 E4 and only now noticed when Waldreg first twigs that Theo knows about the sword key. When the tower has no food Theo says "What about Waldreg's root cellar?" which tells Waldreg that if Theo knows about that he knows about the sword. Then he does his creepy nod as Theo walks off.

I didn't post yesterday about this because I didn't really have the emotional bandwidth but Vale Dolly. She should have been a billionaire but was only a millionaire because she was so generous and gave so much away. The world owes her so much. 💔 Also Vale Tim Curry, I know less about him but RIP.

I think it's really really important to remember an actor's words in an interview might not be their opinion. Being professional is important in every job. If I was publicly asked about someone in my industry, I would speak kindly of them even if I thought they were terrible.

#MirielWeek Míriel and Nimloth; vaguely fitting the "Sea is always right" theme of today as it speaks to the Númenorean belief system and as part of the Faithful Míriel had a special connection to the tree

Miriel tends to Nimloth (tree with white petals)

I've just read this and it's so beautifully sad. But also...hopeful? Galadriel living in Valinor in the 4th Age and Mairon is granted one night where he may return to a body and visit her. *anguished screaming*

I've discovered FanficTube - I don't know if that's what it's called, I'm calling it that. Basically a niche on YouTube with whole channels teaching how to write great fanfic. Moral of the story: You don't need AI when people are willing to educate you for free on how to be a great writer! Resist! ♥️

The great thing about living on this side of the international date line is I can have a total meltdown and scream my feelings and then an hour later after a nap I can come back and delete and most of you haven't even seen it because you're asleep. Just want to add to the love for this fic and say that you all need to be reading it because it's so cute and sweet, and it's not a very long read so you should go open it up right now. Even if you aren't very much into the Numenor arc, this is a beautiful tale.

A question occurred to me...why do antis complain about the idea of Galadriel and Sauron together but not the idea of Miriel and Elendil? Neither ships are expressly mentioned in Tolkien's writings (you have to read between the lines and/or completely imagine it). Why hate one and ignore the other?
