This old stallion, named Shaman because of his medicine hat, is a legend & favorite of the South Steens Wild Horses. A #GreatHornedOwlet ready to fly-I spotted its parent who flew to another tree. After photographing it, I returned to the 1st tree & found the owlet actively climbing, jumping, stretching its wings before fly/hopping to a nearby branch. fineartamerica.com/featured/gre... Belinda Greb Photography

This Western Screech Owl was in a nearby tree and its lighter color made it more visible. Its mate was pretty well camouflaged in another tree and much harder to see. Newly uploaded to my Pixels.com site belinda-greb.pixels.com

Friends & I hiked a trail & came upon a Sandhill Crane pair with a colt in long grass by the lake. As one parent led its offspring away, the other ran back & forth as we backed down the hiking path, loudly escorting us from his premises. My website link is on profile page.
