@blurbusters.com Hi, I had a pressing question: would the CRT Beam Simulator (or any sort of black frame insertion) ever be able to work well on the slow 90Hz display of the Steam Deck OLED?

@plagman.bsky.social Lossless Scaling is getting some working Linux support, if that is of interest for SteamOS: www.reddit.com/r/linux_gami... Frame gen for the active window / game would be a potential software option for getting smoother games on Deck without VRR.

@plagman.bsky.social Do you think SteamOS would benefit from a feature like Lossless Scaling's generic adaptive frame gen? It fills in FPS gaps with generated frames and always outputs enough to match your screen Hz. Maybe could be an alternative to VRR on fixed refresh rate displays like the Deck?

@plagman.bsky.social Have you / Valve thought about adding AMD's AFMF 2 + Anti-lag to Steam Deck now that those features have Vulkan support? They would be nice features to have.
