Over 20 years has passed since Princess hours and Ju Ji Hoon has clearly internalised the backlash against him as he keeps bringing it up. Was anyone around at the time? Was it really this bad? I just feel so bad for him just imagine still holding onto this after so long.

What’s with the really prominent eyes and teeth on the king’s outfit? I thought it was a goof at first. Have they always been there? I’ve watched a lot of Joseon dramas and have never noticed the dragon eyes looking so prominent.

So this is a safe space right but I think I’m developing a bit of a crush on Lee Tae Sung who plays Tae-Mu on rooftop prince. I mean yeah I know he’s the villian and he killed a person but he looks so good in a suit. I can fix him.

#dramasupportchallenge day 5 member of a royal family I’m going to go with crown prince So-Hyeon from slave hunters. God this kid was cute hope he’s still doing ok.

#dramasupportchallenge day 4 co-worker you know sometimes your co worker is your comrade who stands by you in a righteous cause as you save your countries from invaders. Jang Seung Gu from Mr Sunshine I really liked his arc and his relationship with Ae-Shin. He was awesome.

#dramasupportchallenge number 3 eunuch. I’m going to go for Hyung-sun from moon embracing the sun. Tbh this show hasn’t aged great but his performance is really cute what’s funny is this actor has played some pretty horrible villians so it’s weird to think of him here where he’s adorable.

110

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 19/05/2026

#dramasupportchallenge day 2 medical professional I know I’m really behind here but I’m going to go for Na Dae-Ryong from dream life of mr Kim. He was funny, effective and clearly had his own issues like most medical professionals.

#dramasupportchallenge I’m going to go for Lim Whi from when the weather is fine. Never has the life of a cringe teenage girl been so accurately portrayed. I found her hilarious throughout this show and even though her role was small she shone throughout.

Saw this on YouTube. Sorry to my American followers and the cool Americans that are on this app but not in a million years. UK’s not perfect but it could be worse and that’s probably as patriotic I’m going to get about my own country.

Day 7 revenge I’m going to be a bit different here and go for bloody heart. I think this is such a fascinating story of politics, love and revenge and I really loved it

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 05/04/2026

Day 6 family when life gives you tangerines just the family dynamics in the show were joyful and heartbreaking I love it so much but also just because of the weekend I love the Coveys from to all the boys I’ve loved before and Xo Kitty. #chinguchallenge

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 05/04/2026

Day 5 villian Sun-a from devil judge. I thought a lot about what makes a good villian and I think for me it comes down to how much fun they are to watch and watching Sun-a control all the assholes around her is wondrous to behold. #chinguchallenge

Day 4 friendship. I’m going to go with the swag squad from weightlifting fairy I love their friendship so much #chinguchallenge

Day 5 villain Jung Sun-A played by Kim Min Jung from devil judge. Never has evil been so hot but seeing this woman control all the assholes around her in devil judge is so fun.

Just wanted to say I love Hwi from when the weather is fine. She’s so cringe I low key love her. I’m actually slightly more invested in her crush on her sunbae than the main love story

031

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 17/03/2026

Didn’t have time to grab a coffee before the meeting. Luckily I had one of these bad boys. The day is saved by the true hero of all kdramas.

Ok so I’ve decided to do a Korean recast of first wives club. I think Na Young-Hee for the Bette Midler Part. Oh Na-Ra for the Golfie Hawn Part and Yeon Hye-Ran for the Diane Keaton role . If nothing else this could be a comedy powerhouse. All these women are just so funny.

I quite like this list of Korea celebrities that Yoon supporters want you to report to the CIA. Even though this list was from when the insurrection was happening so maybe they would have updated it since then. But here are people worth supporting as they did stick their neck out at the time.

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 19/01/2026

Haven’t finished can this love be translated yet but I think I can make this official. Go Youn Jung is my favourite actress ever. This is a Go Youn Jung Stan account now I love her so much.

Ok thread on all the taxi driver 3 arcs first of Japan. I don’t think the Japan setting was all that interesting and I thought the main bad guy here wasn’t compelling. Lee Je Hoon was funny as an apprentice yakuza and this outfit is iconic

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 26/12/2025

Day 26: Most disappointing drama of 2025. #EYDC2025 I’m going to put genie make a wish here. I mean the production values here are insane, the actors are great even the script does have sparks of brilliance but this thing was just a mess also there was no bromance in the Kim Eun Sook show. Come on

170

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 25/12/2025

Day 25: Sweetest romance of 2025. #EYDC2025 Seo Mun-Ju and Paik San-Ho from tempest. Sweetest is probably not quite the right modifier here but I love an epic love story and these two were so epic and hot. Sweetest would probably be Ae-Sun and Gwan-Sik from when life gives you tangerines.

040

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 19/12/2025

Day 19: A drama that made you laugh. #EYDC2025 I really like potato lab. I thought it was really fun in a lot of ways it’s a bit of a throwback and I love it’s unashamed wackiness. Shout out to when the stars gossip which was unintentionally funny to me.

020

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 17/12/2025

Day 17: Best actor of 2025. #EYDC2025 I’m going to go for Ryu Seung-Ryong for dream life of Mr Kim. I suspect he’ll get a ton of awards for this performance but it is amazing how well he did here. To make Kim Nak Su likeable but also hateable. Just such a three dimensional character

130

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 16/12/2025

Day 16: Best actress of 2025. #EYDC2025 I’m going to go for Kim Go Eun from price of confession. This is just such a good performance. It’s just so quietly chilling but a lot of emotion bubbling beneath the surface. I also really liked IU from when life gives you tangerines.

050

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 15/12/2025

Day 15: Favourite drama poster of 2025. #EYDC2025 I do love the classic movie poster vibes of tempest.

050

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 13/12/2025

Day 13: A drama you found boring. #EYDC2025 so I’m going to go for Mary Kills People here. I’m not sure boring is quite the right word but the fact that this show about euthanasia ended up being a bit meh says a lot. Their refusal to make Mary a compelling character is actually a little interesting

140

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 12/12/2025

Day 12: A platonic relationship you loved. #EYDC2025 Mi-Kyung and Ong-Ju from potato lab. I love a good female friendship and these two just compliment each other’s crazy beautifully such a fun friendship. I love them so much.

030

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 11/12/2025

Day 11: A drama that taught you something new. #EYDC2025 got to give this one to where the stars gossip. I learnt so much about fertility, space specifically how sperm works in space. Now was I researching all this stuff just so I’d know how bullshit this show. Yes but I did still learn some things.

120

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 09/12/2025

Day 9: Did you watch older dramas in 2025? #EYDC2025 so the oldest dramas I watched this year were Iris and You’re Beautiful both from 2009 both fun in their own ways but both defo have their yikes moments. Iris very much feels like a precursor to Tempest in a lot of ways.

040

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 08/12/2025

Secondly also Newtopia is Sam Soo played by Tang Jun Sang who is an actor every time I see him I think he should be doing better. He’s really funny but also brings a lot of heart to this show also he has great chemistry with Jisoo way more than the male lead but that’s another rant.

010

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 08/12/2025

Day 8: Standout secondary character of 2025. #EYDC2025 I’m going to go for Aaron Park played by Kim Jun Han if there’s a reason to watch Newtopia it’s him. He just masters the tone of zombie horror meets Wes Anderson that the script was going for. He should have been the main character

130

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 07/12/2025

Day 7: Your favourite character of 2025. #EYDC2025 my fave character is Oh Yi Young played by Go Youn Jung from resident playbook. I love her and her little pouty face. She’s really funny but deep down cares a lot. Does this have anything to do with the fact that Go Youn Jung is my bias? Maybe?

141

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 06/12/2025

Day 6: A drama you dropped in 2025. #EYDC2025 so yeah I don’t drop dramas once I start but I did start watching iron girls after Physical Asia. I did like it’s chill vibes but like a lot of Korean reality shows it’s just so long. Hopefully I’ll find time to get back to it but for now it’s a drop.

030

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 05/12/2025

Day 5: A visually beautiful 2025 drama. #EYDC2025 I’m going to go for Dear Hongrang. The gothic romance vibes of this show was immaculate. Just don’t think about the plot too hard

140

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 04/12/2025

Day 4 favourite song from a drama. I’m going to cheat and go for golden by Huntrix. I mean it was the song of the year and I just love this movie. #EYDC2025

260

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 03/12/2025

So I found this list of worst kdramas on Netflix by the Mary Sue and I really don’t get her opinion on tale of the nine tailed. Was there anyone who criticised TotNL for this? I saw people criticising it for being dull but not enough gumiho lore is a weird one to me.

100

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 03/12/2025

Day 3 favourite actor Choo Young Woo. I feel like he’s the closest actor to having a Byeon Woo Seok arc this year. I really liked him. He was a great romantic lead in head over to heels and really funny in trauma code. Also Bong Su for ever.

130

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

Ok day 2 favourite actress discovered in 2025. I’m going to go for my resident playbook girls Shin Si Ah and Han Ye Ji. I just loved them. They were funny and messy but still fundamentally good. Hope they both do well in 2026 #EYDC2025

030

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 01/12/2025

So who in Korea has had a good year. I’m going to make a case for Kim Min Ha. I was a little worried after Pachinko that she’d struggle to find large roles but she’s had two dramas as a female lead and is killing it. Love her and wish her all the best.

0110

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 01/12/2025

Day 1 South Korea even though saying that I did watch two cdramas this year which is a record for me.

020

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 13/11/2025

I’m going to go for fight for my way. I do like the friends to lovers main love story here and I kinda like it’s just a fairly normal childhood with no trauma bonding. They’re just friends as children and grow into something more as they grow up. It’s nice I like it. #kdramajoychallenge

010

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 11/11/2025

So for cute animal I’m going to go for Mimi from DoDoSolSolLaLaSol. I can’t recommend this show because of that ending but god this dog was cute. #dramajoychallenge

160

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 10/11/2025

So for coming of age. I’m going for weightlifting fairy Kim Bok Joo. I love this show and for me it captures the messiness of youth. Plus it’s really funny iconic and I love it. Swag!!!!

120

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 09/11/2025

Day 5 cooking scene. I do have a soft spot for this cooking scene from healer where they’ve just gotten together and Ji Chang Wook acts like a cat the whole scene. Maybe it’s because I’m a cat lover but I love how not helpful he is.

040

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 08/11/2025

Day 4 bicycle scene. Soo-Cheol trying to find his family from queen of tears. This scene is just so sad from the way he can barely ride this bike, to how desperate he is to reunite with his son. I love Kwak Dong-Yeon so much.

000

Be Kdramatic @bekdramatic.bsky.social · 07/11/2025

Day 3 moment of revenge. I do love when Park Min Young shows up to meet Lee Yi Kyung’s parents in this outfit breaks up with him and then judo flips him. Pure deliciousness #DramaJoyChallenge
