In Canada, multiple myeloma patients have access to generic versions of this medication. However, the monthly cost is still quite high ($2,500+). Oral chemotherapy medications are not covered by provincial plans in several provinces, including Ontario (OHIP).

I’ve been mentioning this for years! Back in 2016 the Provincial government amended the Insurance Act to require all group disability policies to be underwritten by an insurer because of this exact issue. And then never proclaimed it into force.
