Chopping time. Begonia paulensis. Sadly this species can't be propped from leaf, only rhizome cuttings or growing from seed work. However the leaves are so big when you prop the rhizome you still need to remove the big ones. #begonia

Begonia dregei 'Tweedle Dee' x Maculata. I've done this hybrid a few times now but this version holds the white edges on the leaves. Bonus frog on the last picture. #begonia

This is another hybrid I created recently that I'm still trying to think of a name for. One of the interesting things I've not seen in other cane hybrids is that the pink dots are actually raised bumps. Flipping the leaf over you can see just how bumpy they are. #begonia

Some Begonia maculata hybrids I’ve been working on to use in future crosses. I’m exploring interesting traits I’d like to develop further. The one on the left has much darker leaves, which makes the dot contrast really striking, while the one on the right has elongated, thinner leaves. #Begonia

I'm really curious why every AI is so awful at getting information about Begonias right. Is it this bad for other plant species? There's so many research papers on them but I'm guessing it's just not part of the training model.

Mini cane hybrid I made earlier this year. Grows extremely slowly and hasn't bloomed yet. I am kinda interested in how it keeps such a small form but that also makes it a pain to propagate. #begonia #plants

I don’t make many rex-like Begonia hybrids, but I do have a few. This is an upright mix I did a couple years ago. It’s a cross between ‘Bentochiba’ and an unknown rex mix.
