Nah, that's valid. Having yapped it out a bit, it's kinda obvious I got too hot under the collar about what I saw as BIPOC getting spoken for /again/ during "racial discourse #647928374949... And ran my mouth. Which was definitely the wrong thing to do.

It wasn't clear to me, when I jumped in, and that's definitely my fault. That said, on jumping in and seeing the body discourse, the 2nd thing I saw was a very specifically drawn line in the sand between white/non-white (due to the bio tag) at which point I spoke up.

Which is where I came into it. Seeing discourse about the response to a character's body -- and then seeing that the skin color/race is a very specifically drawn line.

Might not be how you wanted it to start, sure. But it'll end up there. Which is why making it very clear that the writer/poser is white (in the bio) and they are simply putting on the non-white persona where I call it larp. Because it becomes part of the character's personality optically.

It's more a totality of the whole than any specific comment. Khei is non-white. Khei is other things, too, of course, and if the focus is on just pushing back against fatphobia, peak. But the delightfully(/s) horrible thing about the FFXIV community is that it will /always/ be about color.

They are wearing a suit they can take off at the end of the day. Which compounds them both being wrong (at the time), and deliberately creating a separation between themselves and their OC. "I am white, my character is not. How dare you treat them this way." Just doesn't pass the sniff test.

That curve of scales travels from the hips to the groin with no easily visible covering underneath. So there's a bit of pubic area tease. Dumb? Sure. Not arguing that. Bare minimum though it tripped the rule and was predictably reported by the people who can't be normal about skin color.

Yes, I read what the mods said beforehand. No the timeline isn't messed up. I said the reports came before -- in my opinion -- the performative outcry on bsky. Also, the first image is iffy based on the dumb rule that has since been removed. There is more than just thigh being shown there.

I mean ignoring everything else, the issue with this response is you trying to have it both ways. You weren't the only non-white to get upset. Great. I didn't say anything about that. I specifically asked Dev, because they felt it necessary to specify they were white -- and create separation...
