Imagine: We could have a submission form where people sent in things they want followed up on. Every morning we could scrum and assign stories for on-the-ground follow up and basic journalsim. Breaking stories could be tied to factual timelines that are updated with new info.

Ok, so, this is how cynical I've become. I just read a news story based on a tweet: thehill.com/blogs/in-the... in which no one, NO one, talked to anyone at the Hilton to confirm the story re: "freeze-drying" lobster and giving it to a local shelter.
